Poem For The Cherisher - Anonymous
I have been senseless in a traveller's costumer,
Passing all doors, too afraid to stop
You were riding with me,
Listening to me war myself.
When I spoke ill,
Well, it was senseless.
Watching friends drown in a senseless ocean,
Who pricks hearts with sharp words
Never meant to be heard.
Weeping to glimpse the Forgiveness,
Too afraid to break the human heart,
How could I have forgotten You?
They wonder why we pray,
Not realizing that in the Beginning, in the End
There is the Cherisher, the Sustainer
And everything else - a fleeting smile,
Some way to pass the miles
On the way to forever
To You, only to You.
I have been senseless in a traveller's costumer,
Passing all doors, too afraid to stop
You were riding with me,
Listening to me war myself.
When I spoke ill,
Well, it was senseless.
Watching friends drown in a senseless ocean,
Who pricks hearts with sharp words
Never meant to be heard.
Weeping to glimpse the Forgiveness,
Too afraid to break the human heart,
How could I have forgotten You?
They wonder why we pray,
Not realizing that in the Beginning, in the End
There is the Cherisher, the Sustainer
And everything else - a fleeting smile,
Some way to pass the miles
On the way to forever
To You, only to You.
