The Muslim's Belief in Messengers
~"We Believe in Allah
and that which has been sent down to us
and that which has been sent down to Abraham (Ibraheem),
Ishamel (Isma'il), Isaac (Ishaq), Jacob (Ya'qub),
and the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub,
and that which has been given to Moses (Musa) and Jesus ('Isa),
and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord.
We make no distinction between any of them,
and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."~
[2:136]
-We believe that Allah has sent to His people, to every nation, messengers who were 'bringing good tidings and warning, so that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the messengers...' [4:165]
We believe in all the messengers of Allah without any discrimination among them, and we bow to Allah..
The Qur'an mentions 25 Messengers, and the Muslim must accept them as authorized messengers of Allah. "Those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make division between Allah and His messengers, and say: 'We believe in some and disbelieve in others,' wishing to take a midway course. Those are indeed the disbelievers, and We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment." [4:150-151
The first among the Messengers was Noah, Nuh in Arabic, peace be upon him. "We revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the Prophets after him." [4:163]
The last Messenger was Muhammad, peace be upon him. "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets." [33:40]
All Messengers were created human beings, (with no exeptions) they have none of the divine qualities of Allah.
[11:31, 6:50, 7:188, 72:21-22] They are from Allah's servants, and He has blessed them with the Message and guidance, and appointed by Him. [17:3, 25:1, 38:45, 38:71, 38:30, 63:59]
We believe that Allah concluded all messages with the message of Muhammad, peace be upon him, to all people:
"Say, 'O mankind, I am Allah's Messenger to you all.
To Him belongs the Kingdom of the Heavens and the Earth;
There is no god but He.
He ordains life and death.
So believe in Allah and His messenger,
the unlettered Prophet who believes in Allah and His words.
Follow him so that you may be rightly guided."
[7:158]
This day, I have perfected your religion for you,
completed My Favour upon you,
and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.
[5:3]
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam,
it will never be accepted of him,
and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.
[3:85]
So, we believe that whoever accepts any religion, other than Islam, is a non-believer. [also see: 4:150-151]
We believe that there is no prophet after Muhammad, Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him. Whoever claims prophethood after him, or believes in anyone claiming it, is a disbeliever because he is rejecting Allah and His Messenger.
