Muslims in the West

Lately been hearing Muslims living in the UK expressing their attachment and loyalty to the UK… the country in which they were born and bred… the only country they know and have grown to love..

In Islaam borders do not exist… little place for nationalism…
At what ranking does Islaam, their way of life, come into the equation…

So here’s the poll for those Muslims living in the West… UK, Germany, France, US etc..

Which of the following would most closely express your feelings towards the country you live in…

- It’s just my country of birth, nothing more..

- I am complacent living here but feel no real attachment towards this country

- I like living here and feel attached to this place

- It’s my home, and I wish that I am never forced to leave it

- I love this country and I would do anything for it

- Other

I know this poll is NOT faultless.. if none of the options describe your feelings feel free to post them up..

what does complacent mean??
I dunno what one to vote for...cos I do like living here but I wouldn't exactly call myself attached
I wouldnt mind living somewhere else, I dont think...although I am used 2 this country, and like when you go somewhere else, they dont have the stuff that ur used to (like, why cant u get cheddar cheese in france? )
But I'm not patriotic 2 this country...and I find that a bit sad, the people who stick union jacks in their car window n all that
England is alright... I've never lived anywhere else, so I can't really compare it...
I guess thats in the "other" catogory?

Complacent means being smugly self-attached or content with your current environment :) ...

It's okay with a couple of kicks (Disney World, Dippin' Dots Ice-Cream, etc), but other than that, nothing special. American is ridiculously over-hyped.

country of birth , nothing more- everything else is just nostalgia and cultural conditioning

Its a passing home... grateful to it for fish and chips and general hospitality.

As-Salaamu 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaah,

I do not exactly know why I am living here. :S Its not my country of birth and I dont call it my 'home'.

-Other.
