In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Allah is the proper Arabic name for God. It has no gender and cannot be made plural (i.e. goddess, gods). Arabic speaking Christians also use the name Allah for God.

"There is no God except Allah, Alone.
There is no pratner unto Him.
To Him belongs sovereignty.
And to Him belongs all Praise
And He has power over all things."

We, Muslims, turn only to Allah in times of need; We seek help only from Him; knowing that He will hear us. He is the One Who is worthy of worship:

~*And your Lord said: 'Invoke Me, I will answer you.*~
[Qur'an 40:60]

~*You (Alone) we worship;
And of You (Alone) we seek help.*~
[1:5]

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
"When you ask, ask of Allah;
When you seek help, seek help of Allah Alone."
[At-Tirmidhi]

Allah is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Oft-Forgiving, He is One.
We love and fear Allah, thus we readily obey Him, seeking to earn His Pleasure:

~*Say: "If you (really) love Allah,
then follow me
(i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and Sunnah),
Allah will love yu and forgive you your sins.
And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.*~
[3:31]

Allah has power over all things. He alone has created us and everything that is in the heavens and the earth. He is Absolute. He has no partner, no son, no father, no mother. He is alone, One - Almighty. There is nothing like unto Him.

He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Maintainer of all that exists.

~*Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neitehr slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His footstool extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.*~
[Qur'an; Ayat-ul-Kursi; 2:255]

Allah has many beautiful names and attributes.

~*So know that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah.*~
[47:19]

i myself am scared of the hereafter, and my lord especially, did u know that our prophet SAW weeped before going to bed, thinking of what might life bring for us muslims in the future.every night they would do that, our prophet SAW went to alot getting Islam across to ppl, and know u look at the world of Islam u think all the effort our prophet put in just to give us the religion, nowadays there is no fear for Allah, nor have alot of knowledge about the hereafter, asthagfirulah

"I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides." [Carl Sagan]

Is there a small difference with Christianity here? As far as I know, Christians also ask God to support them in sports and other similar efforts? In other words, Christians ask for help (support) - they may not always be in need.

Let me ask you a question.
Do you speak to Allah on a personal level?
Do you speak to him like you do to your best friend, or father?
Is Allah far from you, or is his presence in you?
Why doesn't Allah love all people like the Christian God?

So much for Christian God who loves all:

21 After he left Galilee, Jesus traveled to the area near the towns of Tyre and Sidon.

22 Approaching Jesus, a woman from this area cried out, "Lord! Son of David! Help me! A demon has infected my daughter!"

23 But Jesus did not answer her, not a single word.

Just then, his followers came up to Jesus and kept complaining, "Get rid of her. She shouts at us no matter where we go."

24 Turning to the woman, Jesus said, "I was only sent for the lost sheep, the people of Israel."

25 The woman who came all this way fell at the feet of Jesus and begged him, "Lord, help me!"

26 "It's not good to take food from children so you can feed dogs," Jesus said.

27 "Yes, Lord," the woman answered, "but even dogs get to eat the leftovers that fall from their owner's table."
