domain names

brothers and sisters i need some help, does anyone know anything about selling domain names and how much they are worth, this is due to the fact that an american company is after one that i have,
the company is called tastycake.
any advice most welcome

U know ur very lucky having a american company after u for the domain name

if i were u id sell it for $500-$1000 Dollars

DONT LET GO OF THE DOMAIN!!!

Sell it for a high price and geta lot of $$ from it!!!

ur very lucky..dont sell it off cheaply..

if they are a big company they can afford to fork out that much money..for the domain name

if its less then $500 then its up to u but i probably wud ignore it

ask them how much they wanna offer u...

i kinda used to do thigns like these

register domain names of small companies that are gonna make it big..or new celebrities..whatever

grab the domain then hold them to ransom......

and u get a lot of money from it :)

hey!! if their initial offer is $5000 than i assume they can afford to pay more... they are trying to buy it off you cheaply. Ask for say $15000 and they may end up paying you $10000.

Or if you need money to get through university/school find out how much it will cost you and ask them for that much amount or monay and tell them why you have asked they that much... that way they will feel they are doing a good cause as well as buying the domain name. Even if this is $30000 thay may just pay you that.

ya gotta basically keep an eye on new upcoming companies,bands,groups or anything really!!!

Grab their name as early as u can!!!

i registered a few domain names already hopefully in a few years time i can hold em to ransom

funny there are web people out there who scan newspapers for really good high school football(american) players, register their name as a domain, hope they make it big, so they can sell it back to them for $$$ when they become pro.

I agree that you should get as much as you can out of them :p
They're bound to negotiate and you could end up getting loads more.. and in any case if they don't you could still sell it for the $5000 in the end!
