Islamic Circles Presents:
The Invisible Signs of the Existence Of Allah (swt) By Mawlana Hafiz Hassan Ali (DarulUloom, Dewsbury)*
This is NOT A BORING TOPIC !
Date: Sunday 22nd February 2004
Time: 11am - 1pm
The Qur'an is full of verses where Allah (swt) is pointing out to
those whose ponder about His existence such as in Surah An-Nahl (16),
verses 10, 11, 13 where He says:
"It is He who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you
drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your
cattle to pasture."
"With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date
palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. "Verily! In this is
indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give
thought ..."
"And whatever He has created for you on this earth of varying
colours (and qualities from vegetation and fruits). Verily! In
this is a sign for people who remember."
Many people pass by so many of His signs daily, choose to ignore
or even fail to recognise them. How many of these do you recognise?
And what about his invisible signs - are you even aware of them?
"So what?" one may ask. How will it affect me? Does it bother you?
* Mawlana Hafiz Hasan Ali who was taught in the traditional way is a young,
up-and-coming scholar brought up in the UK. Since graduating from
Dar-ul-Uloom in Dewsbury, he has served the Muslim community as
Imam of the Islamic Cultural Society in North London and the Islamic
Studies teacher at Yusuf Islam's Brondesbury College for Boys in
London. Besides being someone who has memorised the Qur'an, he has
completed an MA in Islamic Studies and is currently pursuing a PhD
at the Roehampton Institute. He is a director for both Ebrahim
Community College in East London and the Ni'mah Center in Leicester.
This unique upbringing in the UK, combined with traditional Islamic
knowledge and day-to-day interaction with Muslims in various fields
makes him a unique lecturer. He focuses on real issues concerning
the Ummah and is known for being out spoken where needed.
Inshallah, Mawlana Ali will point out these signs directly from
the Qur'an and explain how they DO affect us and how vital it is
for us to be bothered about them. We recommend that attendees bring
non-practicing members of their families and friends, and non-Muslims.
We look forward to seeing you there, and your participation in what
should be a very informative and enlightening Q&A session after the bayan.
