As-Salaamu 'Alaiykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakahtu,

Eid Mubarak everyone. I wanted to ask about this. When I attended Masjid for the Eid prayer, everyone was singing a hymn in Arabic. The words to it were written on a dry-erase board up infront but it was in Arabic and I don't know how to read it, but I didn't say anything cause I didn't wanna bother anybody.

I remember part of it, was Allahu akbar Allahu akbar Allahu akbar Allahu akbar la illaha illallah kind of like in the Adhan, does anyone else know this one? If so I'd be very happy if they could post the words to it in transliteration.

*Note to self: need to learn the Arabic*

actually, it's funny, I can read English in Arabic, but I can't read Arabic lol. Seriously. I've got this piece of paper that has the Arabic alphabet on it, and I got an idea that if i was to asign each one of the letters in the English alphabet, to a letter in the Arabic alphabet, you could write English in the Arabic script. Well it worked. I mean, I don't read it like I would English, all natural, I have to really look at it, but it does work. Yet I haven't been able to figure out how to read Arabic :banghead:
