There was a discussion a while back about people posting
objectional images which other cultures and religions find
offensive. Muslim youth chooses to post a picture of Osama
Bin Laden in his/her posts. I find this VERY offensive. Muslim youth in effect is glorifying a mass murderer responsible for the deaths of many different nationalities (including Muslims), this man has done more harm to the Islamic people than any person in history. Remove his ugly face from this site !!!

Would I be correct to say this forum is HOSTED by Muslims and the infidels contributing are the guests fo the Muslims? I have been told many times that Islam should be judged by Islamic scriptures, not Muslim behavior. As a guest in a Muslim home, if I were to make a breach of conduct, how would a Muslim handle this.

In the West, good manners are the rules to help each of us avoid being misunderstood by others but across cultures more attention and care must be given.

Can you kick this guy off the board. he's making unsubstantiated claims as if they are facts, and then causing trouble on the basis of them. This, itself, is more offensive than any photo. Besides, he is slandering a Muslim.

The problem is there are so many different cultures within Islam. For example Indonesia and Jordan. ONe an asian/island culture , one an arab culture. The best way to learn a culture is to befriend someone from that culture imho.

As for learning about Islam , if you stick around long enough you'll learn all kinds of interesting things. Jamila, Bintmasood, Bintul Huda, Bilal, Sajid,Khilafah, Fresh,and many others are helpful in answering questions.

Although I don't think I'm very sensitive of any pictures, I tend to agree with The_Vet-II, Bilal, Jcap etc. and can only wonder why Kohr-Ah and some others want to glorify a mass murderer. Would you, for instance, like to see somebody's ass instead? I doubt, but that hairy face may arise similar feelings in some.
