HAJJ INTENSIVE COURSE
Going to Hajj? Do you want to prepare for Hajj?
A One Day intensive course preparing those who wish to perform Hajj.
Date: Saturday 10th January 2004
Time: 10.30 am - 6 pm
Venue: 4th Floor, Muslim World League, 46 Goodge Street, London, W1T 4LX

"Labbayka, Allahumma Labbayk" - Here I stand before you, O Allah,
here I stand before you.
Are you 'really' ready for Hajj? Okay you've booked the tour and
your doctor's given you the green light. But how about spiritually
and mentally? Do you know what to say and do? Really? Or will you
just try to learn everything and anything when you get there or
depend on your tour operator?
For many, Hajj is a once in a life time experience. The Wise use
to say, "don't leave things to the last minute and always prepare
yourself". Don't waste your Hajj not knowing the basics. Stand
before your Lord 'prepared'!
The course will be delivered in English and will aim to cover and
discuss the following areas:
* What is Hajj: Definition, types (Ifrâd, Qirân, Tamattu'),
its excellence and prerequisites.
* Brief history of the Ka'bah and the Hajj of the Prophet (saw).
* Things to Take
* Rituals of Hajj: Step by Step
* What to do at the Meeqât
* Utterings of the Talbiyah - what to say, the timings, etc
* Ihraam: What, when and why?
* Prohibited (Harâm) acts in Ihrâm
* Tawâf (going round the ka'bah)
* Sacred places and rituals: Maqâm of Ibrahim, Well of Zamzam,
Enclosure of Isma'il, Black Stone, Al-Hatîm, Al-Multazam,
Sa'i between Safa and Marwah
* Mina, 'Arafât and Muzdalifah: What, how and why?
* Back to Makkah to complete Hajj (Tawâf-ul-Widâ)
