Just a few things to note down if you are getting Harassed

1) If anyone has Been Harassing or Making death threats to you in Private Please make a SCREENSHOT of the Private Message and DONT delete it.

To make a Screenshot Press the "print Screen" button on your keyboard then u can paste it to Word,Or PAint or anything

Also please make a note of the DATE and TIME and USERNAME
Send the Screenshots or details to chatadmin@ummah.com I will THEN look into it

2) At times users will approach admins for Email or contact Details of other users especially if they have Contact Disable. We WILL NOT give out Email addresses. WE will contact you first requesting Permission

3) Admins at time may email users about Certain Things or comments regarding the forum or users itself.

4) If you get dodgy Message from chatadmin@ummah.com or any other Official Addresses from ummah.com PLEASE check the message Headers. As there have been attempts of people forging ummah.com Email addresses.

I wonder what was so offending that u had to remove it:mad:,I havent seen her say sorry yet,she did say something not nice to a member her, atleast one can appolgise for it or not

Not sure if it's harassment or just a kid who ran out of meds but I got PM from somebody who I never talked to, chatted with or PMed. Also pretty much ignor his posts (spammer). If anybody else got the same and/ or a mod wants me to foward it let me know. i am being harassed, every day, on the forum

who do i speak to about it?

i am subjected to kufr from the kuffar and some of those who say they are muslim (they love to be called moderates)

now some of you may think this is funny, but when you think of the duty that we have as muslims, and medium of the computer, there is so much more that we can be doing, besides this daily onslaught of "opinions", when we know "opinions are like ............, everyone has one"

there are so many levels that mankind can achieve, but he loves to become bogged down with the petty and insignificant, because to aspire higher requires soul-searching and finger-pointing to himself

so i would like to know, who can i take my complaint to?

I understand what you are saying in regards to the HELP section but,
this post was not my first attempt at resolving this issue.
I began communicating my concerns a few moments after the original slanderous post was broadcast.
I felt last night, enough time and effort had passed and I should bring the topic to light in a public area.

Is there a mechanism in place which disallows e-mails to be accepted by particular IP addresses?
If not, the e-mail link to chatadmin@ ~*~ is broken.
My PM's also go unanswered, with no return response as to them even being viewed, per receipt.

I do not wish to spoil anybodies party but there is something I would like to point out about something that is severely flawed with the request made by Sajid that screenshots of private messages would be considered proof of harassment.

I only wish to expose this flaw because there are malicious people out there who may wish to use this to their advantage.

Unfortunately, people of the west would accept screenshots as being good enough proof, and this is based on the fact that when video footage of Osama Bin Laden was shown everybody in the west accepted that it was Osama and would not accept the possibilty that it could have been a manipulation of some sort.

However, we being Muslims are far more stringent when it comes to presenting proof and I must advice Sajid that screenshots is not an appropriate form of evidence. Unfortunately there is no alternative and the only thing I guess is left for the genuinely harassed user to do is use the “ignore user” feature.

Again I am only attempting to illustrate the flaw to this form of evidence, as I do not like seeing innocent people being accused of something they did not do.

Evidence of how taking screenshots of private messages is extremely flawed, here you will find a PM supposedly made by sajid to me:

but we tend to go via other ways and methods if u wanna call it Psychological things and all hard to xplain though!

Seen people being stalked and it's a nasty business. Phone calls, emails, letters, 3rd party contact, times he/ she has followed you- collect them up give them to the police they'll have a word with the person in question. The thing is sometimes people just can't take no for an answer and they try to control whomever it is he/she is harrassing by lying to themselves that they are for example trying to warn others off, when really they are lonely and just can't take not having any contact with the person they are obsessed with.

This can go on for years and it is a crime. Inform the police they are more than willing to arrest people like that. Be brave and don't choose not to press charges! He/she will continue to think that secretly you enjoy the attention! You have to nip it in the bud!!
