It's okay to call people to the the blessed medahibs of Ehle Sunnet Vel Jamah but to call them "traditional Fiq" is wrong.

I see you have qouted the nazimite website led by the clult leader Nazim and Kabbani. This is a deviant group claiming to be sufis when they are not.
Please visit there mirror website of www.naqshbandi.orh to see theire deviations.
-They make Zikir with the word "Hu". Hu is not confirmed in the Sunnah. Sayduna Muhammed saw never made zikir with "hu"
-They belive In Vehdatul Vujud and belive That Allah enters his creations.
- They belive that that Muhammed saw met 40 000 naqshbandi saints in Isra Vel Mic'rac" (THIS IS NOT COFNRIMED IN THE SUNNAH)
- they Claim that Hasarat Sayyadina Muhammed /saw and Sayyadina Ebu Bekir Sedik saw 7007 saints that recited to them "ALLAHU -ALLAH HAK" (THIS IS THE FALSEST BELIF OF THEM ALL
By the way, The Islamic Council of Turkey (Milli Göruch) have declared the cult of Nazim as not from Ehle Sunnet and the mosques in Turkiye are forbidden from spreading nazimite cult information!
The Hahbashis (deviant sufis) have themselves also refuted the extremist sufis lol! deviant sufis refuting more extremist sufis.
http://www.aicp.org/IslamicInformation/English/QubrusiNegatesIslam.htm
The followers of Tazkiya Tasawuff must treat these sufi-claimers with a firm hand.
May Allah subhana Ve Te'äala save us from teh deviant cult of Nazim
Thanks for the links sunni.
Huja, bro relax. I think what his trying to say by traditional is the fiqh of the 4 schools rather than the fiqh of other deviant groups around these days that differ from the 4 madhabs. Tradional has become a common word to refer to the 4 madhabs these days.
As for the nazimites then i advise the rest of you to take the advise from Huja as he was a nazimite at on e stage and therefore understands them better than the rest of us. NOt all sufi these days can be trusted.
and does anyone know whats happening with the sunniapth forums? http://forum.sunnipath.com whens it gonna start no one seems to go there.

Thank you for this perspective, brother. I realise that not all Sufis can be trusted. In fact, I do indeed sense that something is up because of the way that one of the `alims responded when Nazim al Qubrusi was mentioned. However, that same `alim stod by the writings of Hisham al Kabbani. Huja, if you like we could attempt a dialogue so that I could understand better what your concerns are. Mind, of course, that since there seems to be a go-ahead on Sh. Hisham, I don't see any reason not to peruse articles on his site (sunnah.org) and learn from them. Let me know if you're willing to try a dialogue. A note that one thing which will help me is if you incorporate more of the traditional Arabic-English transliteration methods. Sometimes I don't understand some of the things that you write because you use a traditional Arabic-Turkish transliteration system.

Towards Understanding ISLAM
http://www.al-islamforall.org/Islam/ISLAM.ASP
Sayyid Abul Ala Mawdudi
A masterpiece introduction to ISLAM by scholar Mawdudi dealing with the basics of ISLAM has changed lives for the better. Find out why!
Islam is not a 'religion' in the sense this term is commonly understood. It is a system encompassing all fields of living. Islam means politics, economics, legislation, science, humanism, health, psychology and sociology. It is a system which makes no discrimination on the basis of race, color, language or other external categories. Its appeal is ot all mankind. It wants to reach the heart of every human being," writes Sayyd Abul Ala Mawdudi, scholar extraordinaire in his landmark book Towards Understanding Islam.
Islam is about much more than daily rituals and habits passed down from parent to child over 1400 years, as unfortunately many Muslims have made it into. Rather, it is a dynamic system of life that touches all of us. In a clear and candid style, Mawdudi has penned this masterpiece introductory explanation of Islam.
Millions of copies of this book have been printed in more than 40 languages. The purpose of this book is to provide both Muslims and non-Muslims with a brief but comprehensive view of Islam. This is why a discussion of minute details has been avoided and why the author has sought to portray the entire picture of Islam in a holistic perspective. The book also tries to explain the rational basis of Islamic beliefs.
This is one of the author's landmark books. It is an excellent gift for Muslims and non-Muslims and an essential addition to your personal library.
Author Biography: Sayyid Abul Ala Mawdudi (1903-1979), one of the chief architects of the contemporary Islamic resurgence, was the most outstanding Islamic thinker and writer of his time. He devoted his entire life to expounding the meaning and message of Islam and to organizing a collective movement to establish the Islamic Order.
In this struggle, he had to pass through all kinds of suffering. Between (1948-1967), he was put behind bars on four occasions, spending a total of five years in different prisons in Pakistan. In 1953, he was also sentenced to death by a Martial Law Court for writing a "seditious" pamphlet, this sentence being later commuted to life imprisonment.
In 1941, he founded Jamaat-e-Islaami, of which he remained Amir until 1972 and which is one of the most prominent Islamic movements of our day. He authored more than one hundred works on Islam, both scholarly and popular, and his writings have been translated into more than fifty languages.
He died in 1979 after a lifetime of writing, struggling and working for Islam.
He was awarded world prestigious "King Faisal Award " for his outstanding Services to Islam.
More than 16,000 web sites are available in various international languages at Yahoo. It shows a world wide rare tribute & recognition for the Great Islamic Scholar of the Century.

Whilst mawdudid was a decent scholar, it must be kept in mind that he did write things about some of the prophets and sahaba peace be upon them all which, which simply put, were wrong and should not have been written.
for example about the prophet Yusuf alhislaam, he wrote something about him abusing the use of his position of autority for personal gains (or for some absurd reason like that, i can't remeber exactly). lahwlawalqutailabila
Another example is that about Musa alayhisalaam he wrote somet like he was short tempered lahawlawalqutailbila.
MAy Allah forgive him.

I saw many books, By Hamza Yusuf, man who made the absurd claim that the fire-fighters of 9/11 would go to Jannah:confused:
He has also nice supporter of Mr Bush and had meetings with the Bush . Like Hisham Kabbani, The man who tried to JUSTIFY israels response to militant palestinians and wanted "american support" to destroy what he called "extremism" in America (Azubillah)
I do not dare to call Hamza Yusuf a deviant. All scholars make misstakes. and He did not say kufur things. May ALlah forgive him and give him succses in the dawah il-allah!
But will gladely put the stamp on ugly twisted face of Hisham Kabbani.
In thee days of Fitnah, It is hard to find an honest scholar of Islam.
Brother Sunni, Dont you have the books made by Habib Omar, The scholar in Yemen? In Tamim? If you want to study tazkiyat-nefs or traditional Islamic education, Please go to Istanbul or Yemen in Tamim.
Wallahi brother HUja i agree with you completly it soooo hard these days to find a decent scholar who doesnt succumb to goverment pressure and yet sticks according to traditional islam rather than his own interpretaions or some sort of modernisation.
I used to have respect for Hamza Yususfuntil i seen him alongside Bush.
I do not know much about yemen or istanbul but those madrassha across pakistan and india which sprung from the students of the madrassh in the city of deoband in India, are excellent source for traditional islam and many of theri ulema do not succumb so easily to the goverment either. They are well known for theri jihads in the past against the likes of british and these days the Taliban emerged from them and refer to them for islamic sharia and they 99.99% hanafi.
The likes of Mufti Taqi Uthamni and Mufti Ibrahim desai and mawlana masud azhar studied also in these madrassha.

Very true Brother GenN.
If you visit the websites of Nuh-h-Keller , Hamza Yusuf and some other "sufi" websites you will not see a single article on the current status of Ummeti-Muhamed. You will not see any articles that "forbids the evil and enjoys the good". Mainly criticising the corrupt regimes and ideologies of the world. All you will see is articles about Basic Islam. Indeed, Basic Islam is very important. The science of Islam is a must. But Islam is a religion that explains the complete guidance of sociaty. How we should be as muslims, How our thinking should be, How we should do our daily needs, Everything is explained in Islam. This incl8ude politic. The biggets misstake acoridng to me by some elements "sufiya" is that they have rejected the call for a revuval in Islam. Theyd o not engage in activites that try to influence the statsu of muslims. They do not engage in Jihad. Wallahi For 4 years whenI was active with Nazim I di not remember his twsited group even speaking about Jihad in the world or refuting other idologies. This is wrong. We muslims have a wonderfull religion that can be bent (dont mis-understand me here) during times and respond to all human ideologies. When Imam Ahmet bin Henbal lived and Imam Abu Hanifah and Imam Ghazali. Islam came under attack from greek philosophers and many worldy desires penetreated the Ummah. But Alhamduilah, The scholars of Islam (May Allah bless them) embraced these ideas and studied them and refuted them. And the Ummah was saved from the worst bid'ats of the evil philosophy. In our current time , Islam is coming under attack froom materalist philoshy and the west. There are few scholars taking on this challenge. Instead of looking forward and tryng to refute these idoelogies they sit and do not care. and cling on the the past.
The best scholar that I know personally in our time that understood the challenges Islam had is Mevdudi, Hassan Al Bennah, Sayid Qutub and Beduizzman Said Nursi and Dan-fodio. (There works are wonderfull, Mash Allah)
I saw a documentary about the medrassas in Pakistan GenN. My heart became warm when i saw those teen-agers reciting the kur'an and swingging back and forth. Justr like in turkey and all the rest of the Ummah. They tought meda'hibs, all the sciences. Mash Allah. But the problem is that the mederasas where not teaching diffirent idologies and how Islam responds to them (I am not 100% certain) If "the traditional Islamic learning" continues to be this the Ummah will be unable to produce the likes of Ghazali and other masters.
Turkey is wallahi a classical problem how a nation can go wrong. In 1901, when the khlafah was failing. There were medresas and schools that was western type. The medreseas were unable to learn ideologies of the world and the challenges of Islam. And the "western schools" were unable to learn about the religion.
In 1918 we saw the biggest shaytan (la'natullah) coming from this. Ata Turk.
My conclusion is that brother GenN that this "traditonal teaching" must change to face the challenges.
I hope you understood me. May Allah forgive me if I aid anything Haram.
I agree with 100% huja.
the scholars Qutb, maududi, hassan al bana and taqi-ud nabhani were indeed great thinkers in the idoelogical arena. Whilst the excelled in refuting corrupt ideologise i do not however think they excelled in bringing about the method for revivial of the ummah although they did come up with some pretty neat ideas.
I do not much know about their other views on fiqh, aqidah or as some put it "basic islam" (except for nabhani and he did have some differences to be very wary about)
However, for me personally there is no greater schoalr in our age than Abdullah Azzam (sahaeed in 89). Although i do, not know his "basic islam" you can tell from just reading his works how knowldgble he is. Indeed in my opinion he outcalssess Qutb, maududi, hassan al bana and nabhani even though he came after them, and he truly showed the ummah how to revive itself, by using the sword to repel the oppressor. Is there a land of jihad today that is not effected by Sheikh Abdullah azzam?
As for dan fodio (he was a bit earlier to be able to refute capitalism as it was not what it is today in his time), now there was what i call a scholar. His aqeedah the aqeedah of the ahle sunnah, a sufi sticking within sharia limits according to traditional islam and turning towards jihad for revival of the ummah and making Allahs word supreme. It just does not get better than that.
I still do turn to people like keller for "basic islam" as i know that their aqeedah and understanding of fiqh and bidah is that of the ahle sunnah but it hurts that these same people succumb so easily to goverments on ideologiacl/politacl/jihad issues.
Looking at it the other way around also many people out their today on the battlefield have the salafi aqeedah, which is clearly a deviant literalist aqeedah, and have rejected traditioal methods of taqleed and rather do taqleed of schoalrs like Bin baz and Ibn Utaymeen in fiqh.
Alas, what have we become today?
Where are the likes of dan fodio gone today?
I can only think of taliban, who stick to the aqeedah of ahle sunnah rather than salafi and traditional fiqh and at the same time are out there on the battlefield for the revival of the ummah.
Of course most of the mujhaidden in kashmire also have correct aqeedah and traditional islam.
other than taliban and kashmir i do not know other jihadis too well, but I'm hoping that many of the mujhaieen in Iraq and palestine and checnya and other places also do not get effected with salafi thought and aqeedah.
Until mujahideen go back to traidional islam like taliban, and until those that adhere to traditional islam like keller, go back to the battlefield then what hope have of the revival of the ummah?

Assalamu alaykum,
Bro Hujja I don't really have much to add really. I agree and disagree with some of what both of you have said.....is there anything in particular you wish to discuss? I must say it is sad that the name of the Naqshbandi tariqa has been tarnished by the actions of Kabbani and his branch..........the Naqshbandi tariqa was founded long ago by a great Shaykh and was taken by many including Ibn Abidin, Imam Sirhindi, and many many Deobandi Ulema.
Check out another more reliable website by Deobandi Naqshbandi

Yes, nobody can criticise the naqshbandi tariqa as a whole, it is in complete line with the islamic sharia, and was indeed found by great sheikhs and had great followers too.
Huja, a question for you.
You respect The habib in yemen. What do you think of his books on jihad that can be seen on the above links given by sunni?
The habib seems to be a big fan of hamza Yusuf and we know Hamza yusufs stance on Jihad.
Whta do you think huja?

Akhi GenN, What can I say? May Allah guide habib in yemen.
But the reason for me directing him is that he is a man of exellent creed from Ahlus-Sunnet Vel Jamah. His school also is also good in teaching ilum hadis and various sciences of Islam. Nobidy can deny that. I direct nazimites and deviant sufis to him.
But Subhnallah. It's very sad he praises Hamza Yusuf. Hamza Yusuf is a good scholar but have done actions that are very dangerous. May Allah guide him.
Once, I was going through the net, and Saw documentery about Islam in America. I saw the cult leader of nazimites in America Hisham Kabbani and so called "shaykh Hamza Yusuf" sitting and chatting with Aduvullah (Allah's enemy). They had beard , SUnnah cloth. If you see them, You think that they are men of Dîn. Is this not shame for Islam? People claiming be shaykh supporting Aduvullah. Sitting with Aduvullah WHEN Muslim children were being bombed to death in Afghanistan and Starved to death in Iraq. Wallahi, I became very sad later on that ther exists hordes of people (muslims) supporting these so called muslim leaders. These kind of "muslim hodjas" is the ultimate blaim why Ummeti-Muhammed is like this. Every problem starts with its foundation. And Sayyadina Muhammed sawa saw that the inheritors of thsi dîn where the ulema. If we have Ulema sitting with Aduvullah and supporting them the foundation is broken. GenN. You might know the Uzbek president of Karmiov. The brutal dictator of Uzbekistan. Wallahi, A brother i know told me his brother was shot to death by Karimovs state of terror just for being a practising a muslim. Do you know Kabbani and his people did? They went a to Uzbekistan and suppuorted the president and hailed Uzbekistans president for his firmness against "extremists" Allahu Akbar. look at this
website.,http://www.naqshbandi.org/events/us2000/uzbek_pres/default.htm
And se ethe rotten face of deviant sufis on meeting with another aduvullah.
Do youthe thing that angers me more ?. They are not ashamed for showing these pcitures.
¨Nuh Ham Mim Keller. I have not seen him writing and urging the ummah to revive again politically. Instead I see him only refuting "Salafis" and being silent of the Situation in the Ummah. Have you seen him saying "Oh muslims in Iraq, Haya Al Jihad" ?
Many "Ulema" are silent. Being silence is being shaytan. Sayadina Muhammed sawa said in the nearest meaning. If you do see something haram and dont speak about it, you are the silent shaytan.
And what about the person abaeilada qoutes? GF Haddad? If you ask him, He is a folower of Nazim. can a follower of shaytan be good just becouse he has some goodness in him? No.
The worst thing of all this is that muslims are silent. In Turkey, I can understand why Imams are not speaking about the great deviations mustafa kemal Ata Seytan. But why not abroad? Do trhye not know it kufur to love hisbul-shaytan, man that hated Islam?
My concusion is that, Sunni, Abaelda and all of you who like to qoute "Nuh Ham Mim Keller Hamza Yusuf" and his group must criticise theire actions. Without nasiha/advice (critic) no improvment. Ad without imrprovment no will will escape from theire zalaala
Subhnallah. Th only true Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamah of the Ummah all of sciences in Islam. Are the Taliban. May Allah bless them and protect them

Sorry for the discussion sunni. Allow me to just say one last thing please.
Huja I agree with you 110%
I too quote from people like Nuh ha mim keller, but i will also point out the fact that he does not speak about revival of the ummah and jihad and hence needs to be guided in this issue.
GF haddad has a deep respect for kabbani becasue when he converted kabbani was his first teacher and so he probably cannot let go off this emotiona attachment to kabbani. however GF haddad i would say knows more than the nazimites and has also at times pointed out their mistakes, but he still respects them. hadad is in the same boat as keller in my opinon.
Indeed the taliban seem to be the only ones today that are upon the correct creed and truly stand by all the islamic scieneces. It is for this reason that i respect the deobandi ulema (from where the taliban came from) more so than others.

i havent been on this thread in a while
i was hoping this thread would just be links, we can save the bickering on another thread
though i am sure many of you know what my opinion is about a lot of the sites posted here, i would have preferred to keep this thread just links
Different Sites in different branches and there's always new.
