He is one of whose interior and exterior form were made perfect.
Then the Creator of men chose him as a beloved friend.
Far removed (is he) from having any partners in his good qualities.
For in him the essence of goodness is undivided.
Ascribe to his person whatever nobility you desire,
And scribe to his dignity whatever grandeur you please.
For verily, the excellence of the Apostle of Allah has no bounds.
So that a speaker might tell of it with his mouth.
Every sign, which the (other) noble Messengers have produced
Was obtained only because of his light, which was with them.
He is the sun of excellence, they are but its stars
Which show their light to folk (only) in the darkness.
So that when it rises in the cosmos its guidance embraces
The worlds, and revives all prophet.
How excellent is the person of the Prophet! Good nature adorns him.
Cloaked (is he) in beauty, marked by a joyful countenance.
Like a flower in delicate freshness; like the full moon in splendour.
Like the sea in bountifulness, and like time in aspiration.
Even when he is alone in his majesty, it is as though
He were in the midst of soldiers, with attendants thrown around him.
It is as though a pearl hidden in an oyster were
In the two mines of his speech and his smile (that is, Muhammad’s teeth).
No perfumes can equal the dust that had gathered on his limbs.
Happy is he who can sniff the odour thereof or can kiss (them).
