UMMAH.COM
PEACE AND CALM FORUM
CHARTER
SECTION 1.0 - PURPOSE
The purpose of the Peace and Calm Section of the
www.Ummah.com Forum is to promote peace and understanding
between all participants of the forum, regardless of race, creed, color,
sexuality, religious affiliation, nationality or political views.
SECTION 2.0 - RULES
To achieve this purpose, members who post in this section agree to
the following rules:
1) Message Content and Dispute Resolution: Absolutely no
mean-spirited messages shall be posted. While disagreements
and misunderstandings are expected to arise, all parties
involved pledge to calmly and politely discuss these
disagreements and/or misunderstandings in the spirit of
friendship and respect. In the event that resolution of the
conflict cannot be reached in a reasonable time frame, the
participants in the dispute further pledge temporarily suspend
discussion of the topic(s), to make a private and honest
attempt to try to understand the other side of the argument,
and to revisit the issue at a later date. In the event that a
mutually satisfactory solution still cannot be worked out
between the disputants, all members pledge to drop the
subject; thereby agreeing to disagree.
2) Cursing, Foul Language, Disrespectful Pictures, and
Implicit or Explicit Threats: All posters to this forum
pledge to refrain from cursing, using foul language, posting
disrespectful pictures, or posting implicit or explicit threats
against individuals, groups, nations, religions or governments.
While much of the discussion in this forum is expected to
center on national and/or religious policies, all members
pledge to partake in these discussions with the goal of
understanding the opposing position and developing
reasonable actions that could be taken to relieve tensions
between such entities. It is further understood that various
friendship building activities include mild insults and
humorous remarks. Before posting any such friendly insults
or humorous remarks, all posters pledge that such posts are
meant only to further the goal of buikding friendships and
trust. In the event that any poster is unduly insulted or
dmaged by any such posts, upon notification the original
poster is honor bound to issue a prompt and honest apology.
3) Remedies: All posters at this forum post only under the good
graces of the legal owners of this web-site. Therefore, the
Terms and Conditions available at www.Ummah.com shall be
the governing rules for conduct on this forum. However, the
moderators of this forum are encouraged to use unbiased
discretion in disciplining participants who have violated the
stated rules. Depending upon the severity of the
transgression, the disciplines may vary from private message
warnings to tone it down, to outright banishment from the
Peace and Calm Forum.
4) Censorship: In the event that unacceptably offensive
messages are posted to this forum and need to be removed,
the administrator who removes the message pladges to
provide a full explanation of why the message was removed.
Furthermore, the forum administrator(s) pledge NEVER to
alter an offensive message in any way, shape or form.
Theerefore, the only option for censorship is to completely
remove the offensive message along with a full description of
why the message was removed.
SECTION 4.0 - GOALS
The goals of the Peace and Calm Forum, include, but are not limited
to, the following:
1) Develop a common list of things that humans can do to
please the Supreme Being.
2) Develop a list of things that humans need and/or want, in
order to lead satisfactory lives.
3) etc., etc, I’m tired and am going to bed. Please feel free to
add to the goals, re-write the rules, or add or delete entire
sections.
I cannot express in words how happy and hopeful I am regarding this
Peace Forum, and sincerely pray that the members of this forum can
gain personal satisfaction, understanding, friendships, and beyond all,
an understanding of how God expects us to act toward one another.
