This is a book called al Murshid al Muin ,"the guiding helper" , written by the famous Andalusian born Maliki scholar , Ibn Ashir. Ibn Ashir composed his book of short and beautiful songs/poems which deals with explaining the correct Aqeedah, jurisprudence and solutions to fiqhi issue according to the Maliki school, and matters pertaining to Tazkiyyatun Nafs. As this book was originally in Arabic some brothers translated it into English and added explanations to lyrics of the poems which further enhances the quality of this work. The footnotes and explanations were taken from classical and respected texts of the Maliki school of thought. the translated book can be now read online by going to this link:
