When learning the arabic letters, here are a few games we play.
Using an empty egg carton, I write either with a wipe off marker (for
the styrofoam cartons) or place a small dot sticker on the bottom of
each compartment where the egg goes. Using the letters we are
working with that week, I write them on the stickers and place them
in each section. I get a dried bean and place it inside and shake.
Where the bean lands, this is the letter you have to tell me the
sound it makes.
Using a blow up beach ball, I write (with wipe off marker) letters
all over it. I blow it up and we toss it to each other,, where our
thumb lands, you have to say that letter.
Using the caps that come on the milk container, I write with wipe off
marker or write on the sticker and place them on the cap. We have
soooo many of these. Then we put them in a deep container, shake and
they pull one out at a time, saying the letter that is on them.
Pin the tail on the letter, I laminate a poster board and use wipe
off marker to write the letters all over, like pin the tail on the
donkey, we blind fold them, spin them around and the letter they land
on, they have to say the sound or the name of the letter.
Styrofoam trays that the meat comes on (please be sure to wash them
very very well first), I poke holes in them to make the shape of the
letter, turn off all the lights and get a flashlight and shine it
behind the tray. It shows up the letter on the wall. Sometimes the
kids like to trace it with their own flashlight.

actually akhi i pasted that from an admin post at an nisaa :p
but i have used the methods since finding them.
To be perfectly honest I am good at talking to my kids alhamulillah, but when it comes to practical lessons i need a lil inspiration from elsewhere. :)
