he climbs up rope1 almost to the top cuts rope2 (not all) then ties a loop on it then he hangs the bit of rope2 still left. then he cuts all of rope1 the ties the ends of both the ropes together then feeds it through the loop till where he has tied the ropes then he climbs down both the ropes together. ones he's done he pulls the rope down thru the loop
