I think it s all wrong, replying on behalf of someone else! Its Kubs is thread and its best for her to clarify what she means by that!

Personally i think its rude ppl stating what they think thrid party means by such and such. If ppl are gonna do that at least say "I think it means, or in my opinion it means...."

Passionate..... In the sense that sun is providing/giving light to the whole manking without asking, expecting anything in return from anyone.

I have heard all these saying from scholars before.

Don't put on a false front

I thought it meant...

Either look at things in the state that you are at present (i.e. the person you are right now, admiring the ways of the world), or be what you see (i.e. practice the great ways of the world - i.e. what you admire). So in other words, this line is telling you to act, rather than just stupidly admire.

I think there is a hadith... which says Allah has commanded / ordered the sea to show tolerance/restraint...(or allah himself is controling the sea thru his order cant remember the exact words) otherwise seeing the sins of mankind... the sea is enough to destroy the whole mankind if Allah gave free will to the sea

It's ashame I never got to experience that. :( I'm happy with what I am taking now, so it's all kool anyway, but yeah...

I am not a follower of Sunnism, however, the above seem to be the seven rules of Mevlana (Sufi Mystic)..I was given a present from a friend with these words on it..I believe each sentence refers to..

a) Like generosity..the river continues to flow...
b) In compassion..the sun does not exclude its warmth to anyone...
c) The night conceals everything in darkness, sins are not exposed...
d) In anger..react as though dead, do not cast an angry word in retaliation...
e) Modesty and Humilty are like the earth in that humankind walks upon it and in physicality it is underneath everyone...
f) In tolerance..everything is accepted in the same way that the sea accepts the water from every gully and river and stream...
g) Either look as you are or be as you look..simple, do not live under false pretenses, double standards and hypocriticism...

The advice it beautiful and stems from the actions apparent in our beloved deen.
