Salah al-Din

In the beginning there were men equal to the masses of a ton
Now they follow like chickens and hens
With their tassels dreaming sweet dreams
To retreat they run
To the slaughterhouse they go as they bow down and bend
Apologetic to their end
They are Muslims in pretend
I don’t mind apologizing for yours and my mistakes
Because it does take a man to forgive and wait
But I will not step back from the Truth
Word of the One True God
No person will ever refute
With Proof!
Stop this abuse
Of your mind and soul
“Enjoin in the Good and Forbid the Evil”
I say “Enjoin in the Good and Forbid the Evil”
“Enjoin in the Good and Forbid the Evil!”
And the Sequel
Hopeful we pray to God
For many nations under a banner of one
That will rise with courage like the morning Sun
To bring light to the darkness
Hold fast regardless
Train ourselves with the Fast
Remain conscious
Of Allah
Lord of the Seven Heavens and Earths
So that we may repeat our past
And be like the men of the beginning
Men equal to the masses of a ton
Men that defend and don’t run
Men who prayed to the One
Allahu Akbar!
Note: Men here refers to men and women. I feel sexist writing in this language sometimes.
“Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.” (3:110)
