Well this type of test assessed personality based on choice of colurs patterns etc. If you may have seen there was different contrasts of colours between the options. In addition, the patterns were different. That is, some were seen as soft and others seen as hard. It used the premise that someone with a softer personality would chose the pattern with lighter less offensive colours with a less aggressive pattern shape as well.
