As I lay on the ground blood dripping from my mouth
Flowing down the walk way like a river heading towards south
The first hit flashes before my eyes, screaming to my lord for help
My partner strapped to a chair, eyes open to watch the pain, he knew how I felt
My love is helpless, he bursts out with tears to witness me helpless
What are we to do? The perpetrators seem careless
The second hit happens, my mind races towards confusion
What did I do to deserve this?
I guess it’s a test from the above…
For the women that have been raped innocently in Iraq…
