The ticket price includes admission to the event and also a quality meal provided by an award winning chef. You will also gain an experience which will energise your Imaan and increase your knowledge. Those who attended last year will testify to that!
Will seating be separate for sisters?
Masjid At-Taqwa is committed to providing an Islamic environment at all of its events and this is no exception. Separate seating will be provided for sisters and we will try our best to serve everybody.
Will I be able to pray?
Yes, we will provide prayer facilities for both brothers and sisters. There will be an interval during the event where Salat al Asr can be performed and also you will have the opportunity to enjoy your quality meal and drink, as well as mingle and network with other Muslims.
Is this a business?
No. The ticket cost will pay for the event and all money raised on the evening will go towards the purchase of the Harlesden Islamic Cultural Centre. This is a not-for-profit event organised by Masjid At-Taqwa (Harlesden Islamic Cultural Centre) for the Muslims of the UK. Masjid At-Taqwa is a registered UK charity (no. 1068259) since 1998
Can I bring children and how much is a childs ticket?
Yes, we will be providing a creche facility for sisters who need to bring their children with them. The family ticket (to be announced) will be an all inclusive price for adults and children, but babies aged 3 or under will be admitted free.
I'm not a big fan of Nasheeds - will there be any guitars played and stuff like that?
In order to provide guests with a change in atmosphere and take a break from the inspirational speeches, we will be providing you with some light hearted Islamic nasheeds and other forms of Islamic entertainment. Though we fully respect everyones views on the issue of music, as an organisation ourselves, we do not promote the use of stringed instruments at our events.
