Turkey: marmaris or istanbul? help ASAP

bit confused,,where should we go...marmaris or istanbul?

was thinking of marmaris however due to it being a main tourist beach resort thought not very practical as mostly dominated by people half naked?!

So perhaps istanbul is better? However, besides tourist attractions like the mosque etc is their nice peaceful areas in istanbul such as besides the sea / scenic parks etc?

any help much appreciated asap!!

If you want culture and beautiful scenic atmosphere i would advise Istanbul... but all the main stuff is happening in Marmaris... Try Bodrum, its not so busy as Marmaris

Bodrum is way too quiet! Brother you can only choose one destination between Marmaris and Istanbul; you can't experience both on one holiday - it would take you approximately 14 hours by coach to travel from Marmaris to Istanbul costing £60 per person for a return ticket, which isn't very practical, and that's excluding the cost of accommodation etc;

Marmaris is beautiful and its easy to avoid all the fitna bro.

marmaris and near by areas are all nice and all fitnah stuff can be avoided but i would personally say go with istanbul. visit the blue mosque inshallah. :) if you are into histroic stuff then there is alot to see there esp islamic stuff.

If you want to go to a place where you proper relax...sun....beautiful sea and beech.....then Marmaris.

If you like to explore into history....see famous attractions...visit beautiful mosques.....see Ottoman heritage....than I 'strongly' suggest Istanbul. There are also many peaceful places in Istanbul....
