also the Prophet (saw) would pace back and forth and in and out of his door when rain was severe as He feared and loved Allah t'ala so much he never knew what could be coming.... doesnt that make you love him even more?

It was coming down rather fast earlier, got pretty drenched coming home during lunch break - ahh, I enjoyed that! :D

as a child backhome i absolutley loved the monsoon season because of the torrential rains, the odd lightening and thunder(not too much, got scared). and also sleet.when the rain calmed down a bit running off to collect fruit which had fallen of trees.

now i would love to go out in these heavy downpours, away from the eyes of my family in order to drown in the sorrows of my life. with the thought of not causing any emotional trouble for my family, i can not and do not cry in front of them. but in the rain no one would know that i am crying. at the moment everything is bottled up inside me, i need to let it out. but will i be allowed to go out in the rain?NO.they'll think i have gone crazy, little do they know i am already on the path of becoming crazy and stopping me from grieve my way will just get me there quicker.

Abaya and rain....bad combination, mine got o soaked wen i went out today, and i walked into a really quiet shop, and I was going splodge splodge splodge....and it was so loud :), and it was so obvious it was me, coz the sound would stop wen i stopped.

I like it too but its sad when you hear of a family friend who gets struck by lightening, tv makes this seem humurous but its not the nicest way to be taken... Subhanullah (just that my mums friends daughter was taken this way, May Allah bless her ameen).

well I was lucky because it actually hit a few feet from me and I just got caught in the energy well as the electricity dispersed through the ground. It went up my one leg and down the other and knocked me out. I was bruised from my ribs down and most of the muscles in my legs, back and stomach were strained/sprained or torn

Especially when you can see the droplets on a palm leaf or any leaf, or the grass. The leaves and grass are such a rich green and shiney, and the water droplets look just beautiful on them:inlove:

I supposed you'd have to love the rain you lot, most of you being Brits after all. :p

I do love a good storm, especially when I'm warm, dry and snuggled in with a good book and a hot cuppa. :up:

When it's 3am, you're in the middle of nowhere, your leathers have reached saturation point and the engine on your bike siezes... then I'm not so fond of it.

We don't get anywhere near enough rain here though, so complaining is out of the question.

I love it very much (most of the time). But a year ago, I was home alone and when it started to get darker, an electric post on our street broke down, because of strong storm. I was scared to death, thinking that someone enters my house (no one has fence in our neighborhood) and I won't be able to see him, because of light absence and hear, because of storming weather.

Sometimes, when it pours for a couple days without stopping, our backyard turns to lake : )
