I think it's more important to start thinking what we wanna do and achieve in Ramadan rather than dream of eid celebrations. **roll eyes**

Ramadan is such a beautiful month...lets make the most of it and and continue with the goodness once the month has left inshaAllah!
inshaAllah! It truly is a wonderful month. So much blessing and barakah in it and somehow we always seem to lose out on it cos we dont do as much as we could!
Salam
we celebrate by eating and just chilling with family, do people do different things? My mum was born in Karachi and they used to have fair rides to take the kids to :hidban:

I'm planning to wear Sunnah clothing to Eid for the first time. Also, I'm thinking about buying my friends some presents. Nothing big, maybe some candy or something.

Eid was so much more fun as a younger kid when we used to get money and gifts. Now it's all about the good food. For me, the usual is to go for Eid prayer, go out for breakfast with friends afterwards, then lunch at our house where the family gets together. After that we usually head to the masjid for the Eid bazaar, etc. Finally at night there is usually a big get together at someone's house with more great food. It's hard to eat so much that day though since you get used to fasting.

I usually try my best to make the earliest Eid prayer in Regents Park Masjid in London (roughly 8am) and in time for the whole dhikr thing in the beginning
e.g. Alaaahu Akbar Alaaahu Akbar Alaaahu Akbar Laaa Ilaaha Illulaah Alaaahu Akbar Walillaaah al 7amd
Alaahu akbar Kabeeraaa
Wal7amdulilahee katheera
Laaa Ilaaha Illulaah
Wa7da
Sadaqa wa7da
Warikiya 3abda
(I honestly don't know the rest off by heart I really should :$ it usually comes back to me at the time...)
After that its back home, maybe see my Grandma for a bit (last grandparent alive), then we all go out somewhere for a meal - although it gets ridiculously crowded this day.
I used to go Edgware road quite a lot but have now realised why its the worst idea, especially after the small riots in Eid 2006... Crazy guys around, it calmed down after but still (and you see drunken bottles of jack daniels on the floor, used spliffs, empty cigarette packets... Makes you wonder, is this what Eid is about to these guys?)

inshallah i hope to talk some poor Brother into letting me spend some time with his family! lol
Seriously though, ive booked the day off and so have options now to either pray somewhere big like Regents Park or ELM in London, or at my local Masjid inshallah.

awww inshallah ....if not, why dnt u invite some brothers round to ure house and order some food or something? or go to resturant?
I am a very recent revert so this will be my first Eid too, hopefully I will not be working that day or someone can swap shifts with me. At any rate, my husband being here with me now, I will be able to spend some time with him during the day inchallah (I work nights). We just got a new masjid (well we rent a floor in a house) which is sooo much bigger than the couple of cramped rooms my husband told me they had before, so I do assume this year we will be able to hold celebrations there.

No clue. I don't have family in the area; I'm not big into holidays, and I wasn't even when I was not Muslim. I'll probably just make eid prayer and go to work late.
