This event is open to both brothers and sisters. Non-Muslims welcome to attend too.
This is a rare opportunity to hear the charismatic speaker Shaykh Suhaib Webb live in Birmingham and totally free of charge. Shaykh Zahir will also be delivering a short speech adding icing to the cake on this unique event.
The speeches will address how culture has had an impact on Islam, what parts of culture are palatable and which are not. It will also address the current mentality and approaches adopted by Muslims living in the West and pave a pathway forward.
* Shaykh Suhaib Webb was born in 1972 and raised within a Christian family in USA. During his teens he was a Hip Hop DJ and a member of a gang. Feeling spiritually bankrupt, Imam Suhaib Webb set out on a path of spirituality ultimately leading up to the acceptance of Islam at the age of twenty. He graduated from the Central Oklahoma University with a degree in Education before travelling the Muslim world to seek knowledge.
**Shaykh Rajab Zaki from Egypt is the blind imam who memorised the blessed Quran at the age of six never being able to see it. All all praise to Allah swt. Shaykh Rajab is pasionate about Dawah and has been/is involved in extensive dawah programmes both in and outside of the UK.
