10 Week Quranic Style (Balagha) Course: A detailed course explaining the miraculous style used in the Quran
Dates: Every Thursday, 7.00pm – 8.15pm during 10rd July and 11th September
Venue: Al-Muntada Al-Islami, 7 Bridges Place, Parsons Green, London, SW6 4HW. (Nearest underground station Parsons Green - district line).
This is an in-depth course highlighting the miraculous nature of the Quran focusing on the style of the Arabic language. The course will detail the following topics over the ten weeks. 1) Expressions used in the Quran focusing on nouns and verbs. 2) Taqdeem and Ta’kheer, why does Allah bring certain words forward over others? Also, why does He mention certain matters in order? 3) Thakr and Hathf concentrating why certain letters and words are mentioned in passages in the Quran and yet in similar passages are not. 4) Tawkeed (emphasises) in the Quran 5) Similar words in the Quran like ‘Muttahir’ and ‘Mutatahir’, ‘Bakkah’ and ‘Makkah’. 6) The endings of Ayaat 7) Use of a word over another based on context 8) The relationship between the beginning and ending of soorahs. 9) Case Study: The story of the Adam in the Quran and the different styles used in Soorah Baqrah compared to Soorah Araaf. 10) Case Study: The story of the Adam in the Quran and the different styles used in Soorah Araaf compared to Soorah Saad.
