i don't like threads like that cos at the end of the day if u aren't married, u don't know WHAT kinda person ur gonna end up marrying so to say i would and wouldn't marry this kinda person is dumb, cos by the time u actually get married ur criteria might change... sure u can all have preferences but to say i won't marry someone cos of so n so is just stupid :rolleyes:

the only time i can kinda understand is if a potential suitor has come to u, and there's sumt that's buggin u so u ask for the opinion of others if they were placed in the same situation... but when it's just random oh oh would u marry someone wrinklier than u? or would u marry someone who spends longer in the bathroom than u? or would u marry someone who eats more than u? then it's just like :torture:

Taqwa is the foremost criteria that a Muslim aught to use to select his/her spouse, too often we see material gains, wealth, Beauty etc used the Most important criteria ...

There is a Hadith mentioned of Rasulullah :saw:, can't remember the reference but it says to the Effect ...

'when a Proposal for marriage comes to you, and the person in question is of Good Imaan and Character, we (Muslims) aught to marry them, If we do not it will help spread Fassad/Corruption throughout earth' ...

And actually no it's not really a new criteria, it's been brought up in the past in threads about metros, who spend more time on their 'make up' and stuff in the bathroom than women do, so the question came from then already, would you marry one of those type of people.
