Helo,

I woke up this morning and felt wetness near my undergarments.

However I couldn't tell if this was Semen. And this was one hour ago. I have now had a shower but not ghusl. Eventhough all the portions of my body in the shower were wet.

I didn't know if this was semen nor if I had had a wet dream...

Did I have to perform ghusl? And if I did that means even now (after having a shower) I am still in a state of impurity. DOes this mean everything I touch or sit on must be cleaned?

Having a shower is having a Ghusl.

The 3 compulsary acts to become pure after being in a state of impurity are;

1) Gargle of the Mouth
2) Cleeansing of the nostrils
3) washing the whole body with water

There are more sunnahs and recommended acts which give you blessings...

If you are unclean, you don'make everything you sit on and touch unclean.. you remain in a state of impurity which should be cleaned asap and must try not to be in this state for long.

As for youe wet dreams, there are lots of threads about which tell you this. :up:

It;s either semen, urine, sweat or someone poured water on you while you slept. What's it smell like?

Having a shower is having a Ghusl.

Not in the Shafi'i madhab. :up:

For us, it is a requirement that you make a niyyah for Ghusl. So if you just take a shower without intending it to be a Ghusl then it doesn't count as one.
