It Hurts

I gave something up for the sake of Allaah + now it hurts like hell. What is the best way to be patient? Its difficult. I gave it up in the most harsh way possible, so as to make it easier for everybody. that doesnt mean that its painless though. it kills.

We all are forced to make sacrifice... The best way to come through your pain is to make du'a to Allah(swt) and to fill your life with Ibadaah where the sin used to be. Allah(swt) is merciful and he can help you through anything that he wishes to help you though.

If he exposes you to it,
he'll(swt) see you through it.

May Allah(swt) ease your suffering.

ur answer lies in ur question - u gave it up for the sake of Allah swt and that should be enough to keep u patient as Allah swt will surely reward you for such a virtuous act.

When you give something up for the sake of ALLAH (swt) you know you gave it up for the right reasons. Allah (swt) gives you something even bigger and better than that which you gave up. InshaAllah have sabr and seek refuge in Allah (swt).

It isnt easy, sometimes we do things for the greater good and because we know deep down that its not right and has repurcussions on alot of people- but over time you will come to realise that it was something you had to do and you can deal with it! Time is a great healer.

Its ok now

I gave it up for Allah. But did it in such a way that would cause the least pain. What part of that is difficult to understand?

Do you get any comfort from the fact that you gave it up for Allah? If so does that comfort more over powering than the pain or isthe pain more dominant. Also is it a physical pain or emotional?

so the pain is only temporary, it'll be okay with time.

just be patient and keep faith in Allah swt.

bismillah,

just remember that inshaAllah you have been rewarded in taking a step towards Allah, this life is not forever and is a test do not let yourself become engrossed in this dunya and all that it holds, and may Allah reward those who give for His sake. Ameen
