Yea you have a point actually. Petrol costs so much these days maybe the bike is the best option in some case.

Oh, nice bike by the way

Oh yes, I'm going to cycle my 3 mile journey into work, we have a greenway which is basically a cycle route that runs along the canal (FROM West ham to regents park, takes you behind the Masjid- so I’ve been told)

Har har! Lol I'm serious it has so many pro's - it's compact/lightweight and there's that added bonus of being healthy and more eco-friendly than a car :hidban:

I have a folding bicycle, cost me £400 and weighs 12kg. Comes with me many places. But it looks nothing like the one you have here and its pink:D That was the most important criteria.

You better be pretty good with that whip, because one miss and you will have tread marks on your back akhi. :D

Seriously, Dahon is a known manufacturer of quality folding bikes. When I managed a boating supply store, we used to sell a lot of them. Not that style as it is a little big for smaller boats, but still a quality bike.

Could you imagine trying to ride this http://watrzky.homestead.com/files/zkywords/posts/purdue_bicycle.jpg

An industrial design professor and two students at Purdue University came home with $15K after their bicycle won the top prize at the 9th International Bicycle Design Competition in Taiwan.

This bicycle, which features a radical new design, was built with the professor's 4 year old son in mind and could lead to the demise of training wheels.

While all three are members in the Industrial Designers Society of America, is is surprising to note that none of the three had ever designed a bicycle before. However, they also believe that their inexperience in that area also allowed them to approach it from a fresh angle.

Excellent, even in the smallest of the bicycles they make. Very sturdy bikes.

In this link, there are several links to independent reviews:

akhee, thats a sick bike man but why u looking at those bikes for, this is more the kind of range you should be looking at:

Thats a sick bike bruv, roll with that and you'll be picking up all the muslimahs.

But on a serious note yea, if you wanna get a bike and you cycle a lot like me, make sure you invest in a good one. That means like costing £200 or over for a decent bike. If you getting a mountain bike make sure its got front suspension and not back cos that kills it and slows you down, also look out for disc brakes and a good seat.

It is because Dahon bikes are all folding bikes that they cost so much. If you are just looking for a ride, I would suggest a mountain bike too. It is what I ride around town on. :coolbro:

it does, and 'tis a lovely route, although when they clean the canal, you'd be surprised how many bikes you can get out in the space of an hr! (Guessing the people have either dissolved away, given the state of the canal or somehow survived)

West Ham to Regents Park - definitely not 3 miles :)
