The Prophet sall Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, taught his Ummah something to protect them from diseases caused by eating and drinking. He said: "The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink and one third with air." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1381), Ibn Maajah (3349); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (2265).

Food combining
In Sahih Bukhari, a number of examples can be found showing how carefully the prophet combined foods. One hadith relates, "A man from among the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘The Prophet (SAW) forbade (mixing) unripe dates and dried dates, and (mixing) raisins and dried dates. Aisha, Ummul Mu'minun, related that, "The Prophet of Allah (SAW) used to eat melon with fresh dates, and he used to say, ‘The heat of the one is broken by the coolness of the other, and the coolness of the one by the heat of the other.’ He was also said to have never combined fish and milk.

Modern science supports these habits by informing us that the combination of foods we eat and the order in which we eat them are very important factors in health.

please lets keep this thread alive with usefull information inshallah

It is to do with combing major type of protein (meat, fish, eggs or cheese) with another. Different proteins have different digestive requirements. Example: The strongest enzymatic action on milk occurs during the last hour of digestion, whereas on meat it occurs during the first hour and on eggs somewhere in between.

There are a lot of studies to support this.

Here some sample of the prophet daily diet.

Breakfast
The prophet (saw) said ‘’I advice you drink honey’’

Method

Use full tablespoon of real honey (not the sugar stuff, some shops claim it is honey), steer that in 200ml glass of water, until the honey dissolve completely.

Dates and milkThe prophet (saw) said ‘’ whoever start his day with seven pressed dates will not suffer any poison or magic’’

Method
Soak 7 dates into a glass of milk. To be taken around noon

Just to add as far as i know the prophet (saw)' milk was not cow's milk. If I am wrong, I stand to be corrected

Lunch
A piece of bread made of barely, a tablespoon of olive oil and few drops of apple vinegar.

Dinner
The prophet (saw) said ‘’ whoever skips the dinner meal his body weakens’’

The dinner meal should contain a piece of barely bread and milk.
