assalaam alaykum
i want to know how to kindly encourage or advise my two parents and my brother to wake up and pray fajr on time. they pray all other prayers on time alhamdulillah, but they pray fajr when the wake up, so fajr time is over.
i dont want to be like "your wrong, your sinning, you must wake up and pray fajr' but i want to make it a bit more subtle. i want the best for them enshaallah.
the thing is lately ive been feeling like my parents think im extreme or odd. i feel wrong telling them what to do because they are older than me and more knowledgeable. i feel like they think im weird.
i also want to start wearing jilbab but i dont know how to go about it, nobody in my family wears it. i was thinking of starting off with coloured ones enshaallah.
im also getting nervous about going to my country in the summer, to see my family. we go there every year to see them. thisll be the first time theyve seen me in hijab. i think the jilbab might be seen as scruffy or of a lower class in that country, if you know what a mean?
also all my family shake hands. including non-mahrams. i dont know what to do. cos their language is my 2nd language, so its difficult to express myself without sounding rude. plus everybody shakes hands in front of each other.
