I keep looking at my face and it seems darker than the rest of my body...am i a bad person? I try my best to do what is right and forbid what is wrong, but then I look in the mirror and my face is red, I even look at other brothers and see their face and neck the same, I guess I am a bad person afterall :(

oh boy!

the color of any person doesn't represent his moral status in anyway

your face could be darker simply because it is exposed to sun more than any of your other body parts

 huh.. i dont get it... what has your skin complexion got to do with the kind of person you are?

If you cover up and go outside a lot, your face will get darker than the rest of your body. I do know some Africans have this problem, but there are creams to fix this.

This doesn't make you a bad person, just unique, since nobody in your family is like this.

its just pigment in the skin........ has nothing to do with the state of your soul!!! whatever gave you that idea?

if you go outside like pippin said, your face gets a suntan (a very dark one if your skin is naturally dark to start with) whilst the rest of you that is covered up doesnt'. If it really bothers you that much, where a high factor sun cream on your face. If you have light coloured skin you should do this anyway as it protects you from skin cancer. Alternatively stay out of bright sunshine. here in Saudi men who work outdoors in the daytime cover their faces with their shmagh to prevent heatstroke/sunburn/skin cancer. (Women wear niqaab and stay in the shade  )

Also even if you don't go out in the sun, sometimes your face will still appear darker because the blood is closer to the surface of your skin giving it a more reddish shade, or reddish brown shade if you have naturally dark skin, and it will appear darker than your neck and shoulders. This is more noticable in men because women have more fat under their skin, so women often look slightly paler than men even if their skin is the same colour. If you are very active or the weather is hot, this will be more noticable too, because your body loses heat by drawing the blood closer to the skin (the blood vessels close to the skin dilate to do this) - this can make someone appear very red faced, or reddish brown faced. Its really nothing to worry about and perfectly normal.

So please stop worrying, this is just down to how your body works, and nothing to do with your soul!

You need to think good about your self, because then what you see with your own eyes will become good and postive :D

Posistive thoughts reflect in a good way
But negative thoughts reflect in a bad way.

As Salaamu Alaikum,

There are some Muslims who have a radiating noor/light from their face. It's nothing to do with their skin colour. They could be as dark as dark can be, but the noor can still be felt. It's more of an aura that can be sensed.
