On having completed Jumu'ah, or any good deed, mu'min koa khushi mehsoos hoani chaahiyeh kai (a believer should feel happy that) Allah (swt) has given him/her the ability to worship him. However, that doesn't seem to be the case today.

I am 1 of 4 Muslims working in an office environment. They pay no respect whatsoever to completing their 5x Salaah, but some do Alhamdulillah make an effort to attend Jumu'ah. What I dont understand is, when it comes to discussing the 'halaality' of Cheese and Onion crisps or Lucozade, they are the first to brandish it Haraam. When it comes to defending Islam, they talk with such knowledge, it is as if they are scholars. On the contrary, they do not complete their Faraa'idh. They break their fast to have a cig. They brag about how they are so cool for having 3-4 gfs at any one moment in time. They have affairs out of thier marriage.

Wallahi my aim is not to expose their sins, for I am indeed in a worser state. What I dont get is, why do they lie when it comes to prayers? They make up the most stupid excuses to not attend Jumu'ah. And it really gets to me. Sometimes I even feel I am to blame, maybe I am not trying enough, what will I tell Allah?

So, here I am, pulling on the hair on my beard, thinking which 1 of them should I kick the "£% out of first..

* Yes I am aware that Abu Talib didnt accept Islam. Innaka laa tahdee man ahbabta wa laakin Allahu yahdee man yashaa'

* Dont worry, I am aware that Allah and his Prophet have encouraged swallowing anger... Wal kaadhimeenal ghaydha, wal aafeena anin naas.. Innamas shadeed alladhee yamliku nafsahu indal ghadab... so I wont end up battering them.

* What will happen to them on Yawmul Qiyaamah? With what face will they face their Allah? (I once again remind myself that I have no ground to stand on either, but we know what Imam IbnAlQayyim said about balancing hope with fear etc etc kay sera kay sera)

* I have tried giving Da'wah. I lead by example. No I am not bigheaded. But it does not seem to get through to them.

Sooo, yeh. I end where I begun. I am seriously concerned n worried about them, and very sad about their state, about the state of the Ummah as a whole actually (those that dont practice, and are only Muslims by name) I dont really know why I have typed this up. Any responses would be muchos appreciated.

We are not muslims through emotion. We are muslims through Iman and 'Amal.

p.s. Can I get this thread deleted in a few days as i'll probably recover from my PMT then.

Leave what does not concern you.
