Salaam !

I know in the old days many new things were invented in Baghdad and spread all the north africa to the Cordoba. Does anyone know for any Documentary on such things ?

The first one-hour segment (”The Messenger”) introduces the story of the rise of Islam, and the extraordinary life of the Prophet Muhammad. It covers the revelation of the Qur’an, the persecution suffered by the early Muslims, the first mosques, and then the rapid expansion of Islam.

The second segment (”The Awakening”) examines the growth of Islam into a world civilization. Through trade and learning, the Islamic influence extended further. Muslims made great achievements in architecture, medicine, and science, influencing the intellectual development of the West. This episode also explores the story of the Crusades (including stunning reenactments filmed in Iran), and ends with the invasion of Islamic lands by the Mongols.

The final segment (”The Ottomans”) looks at the dramatic rise and fall of the Ottoman empire.

Finally some answer :D

Yes, I have those three documentaries and they're nice. But the science (medicine, architecture, water usage) is more mentioned than explained.
Thats why I am asking if there is some documentary which has the basic
theme on that. I have more than hundred documentaries regarding Islam,
and most of them are historical or biographic on Islam itself (and prophet Mohamed).

Yes, I have those three documentaries and they're nice. But the science (medicine, architecture, water usage) is more mentioned than explained. Thats why I am asking if there is some documentary which has the basic theme on that. I have more than hundred documentaries regarding Islam, and most of them are historical or biographic on Islam itself (and prophet Mohamed).

Thanks for your list. As those are not all Islam related, I skipped them on my list. But have them also a looot (if you want,can put a list too).
But found few from your list, i dont have too, so you just gave me a homework.
As matters google videos, things are deleted from time to time :D so i prefer to have my own copy of them hehe.

From all movies I have, the most beautiful is Muhammad - The Last Prophet (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0430377/)
It is a cartoon, made about the life of prophet Muhammad. Altough is half of USA production, it is quite accurate.
