I like the KO BBQ grilled chicken with salad and soft naan. Their kebab rolls have too much sauce and get drippingly soggy, but is nice too.

:salams and welcome back nice poll. well we only have one kebab shop on my island ( great buisness opportunity if anyone wants it no true halal only shops and restaurants here come on over and set one up and make a fortune insha Allah, i would be number one customer :up: ) and to be honest our local kebab shop..their halal chicken meals are all horrible thin hard chewy chicken and soggy coating, & doner is greasy like dripping in grease, smelly and really strong tasting :S

so i only ever have the chargrilled halal chicken kebab in a pitta bread ( dont even get a fresh naan :( ) comes with bit of shredded cabbage and few strands of carrot if ur fortunate, all the lovely fresh lettuce and tomatoes stays on the top of the tray all night and they dig the cabbage out from under it lol. anyways i would eat any of the above masha Allah it all sounds totally delicious :up:

The halal market I go to offers up some tasty shish kabobs. Served in a pita as a sandwich, or with "rice containing meat and a salad"** as a dinner. Their chicken shawerma is excellent too. :up:

I don't know how to classify it as a vote though: 2 skewers & roll, or none of the above?

oh bro u dunno what ur missing call up your local indian take-away and order a chicken biriyani ( rice and chicken and spices its not hot ) or a chicken korma maybe ( chicken cooked in mild spices and co-co nut milk) and some sag aloo, ( spinach and potatoes ) and a naan bread, maybe some pilau rice ( basmati rice ) and try a chapatti while ur there insha Allah :up:

:jkk: I will take your suggestion and try those foods. I should get to know the neighbors across the hall. An older couple, they are from India. The aromas coming from their place when cooking are wonderful.

wa iyakki amin, alhamdulillah so many of the people of india i have met all have such beautiful manners too masha Allah , and are really freindly i went to visit a sister who was working here, and i couldnt find the flat and knocked on the wrong door and this eldery indian lady invited me in for a cup of tea, i was so overwhelmed with her kindness masha Allah.

i agree, their wraps give me stomach ache i think its the chili, last time my husband was in kababish they got raided by the police..imigration i think..;)

it's all about thinking when you go into a kebab shop - give me grilled kebabs (nothing oily) and fresh nans anyday, chilli sauce and tonnes of mayonnaise yummmy

p.s. Freshie - it's all about Shahi Nan Kebab! Kebabish don't exist near me!

they guy in my are does best chicken burger. he has this very hot spicy sauce which takes the heat outta your ears
