mashaALLAH. HAQ HAQ HAQ!!
Why do all these guys come to the Barelwi Mosque? dont you proper Muslims have any venues there that you could accommodate these events? I would hate to think that the capital of Pakistan outside Pakistan has only a Barelwi Mosque...

These Shaykhs get along well with the people who go to those type of mosques. Thats why.
Sometimes at liberal "deobandi" mosques, they might go but not so much.

What is the problem with the masjid? You've never been to it, know next to nothing about it, so why the need to voice an opinion about it. There's no sign outside saying Brelwi Masjid or Brelwis Only.. these are not brelwi scholars that keep coming here, they are sunni scholars from all over the world.. [and btw they don't worship some other God inside the masjid or practice some other religion that it needs to be a hateful thing to use the masjid]
If the scholars who have majlis there or "these guys" as you call them saw anything wrong with the masjid or those who run it, I'm sure they'd stop using it and would find another venue. ..if these scholars don't then who is anyone here to treat them like some outcasts or pariahs whose masjid shouldn't be used?!
As it happens the scholars only have good things to say about those behind the masjid as far as I've heard them mention.
Birmingham has plenty of mosques mashaAllah and this is one the best ones that I've been to, many scholars from all over come there.
and fyi this isn't the capital of Pakistan outside Pakistan, we have large Somali community, as well as Bengali and Arab..

And Hekmaa - bro she has you on that point. Most of the muslims in Birmingham are from AK - not Bakwasistan. so capital of AK - outside AK would be more corrrect :)

Bro only asked why they dont go to a different mosque, nowt more. I think you being a lil oversensitive cos it concerns your mosque, possibly.
Med, so the Hanafi Deobandi Mosques intentionally don't invite these guys over? or these guys themselves don't come to the Deobandi Mosques?

Also about the Pakistani numbers in the city, the city has 14.3% Muslim population. Which equates to 140,000 Muslims. The Pakistani population make up 104,000 of that 140,000, which is 74%, and thus making it the city that has 16% of all the Pakistanis in the UK (Census 2001, ONS 2005).
Now unless our Arab, Somali and Bengali brethren have gone on a mass reproduction frenzy in that City, i would still trust those numbers. Even if we add ummah.com's baby boom on there i doubt we can tip those stats in favor of any other group.
With regards to Azad Kashmir (AK) most academics include them as part of the Pakistani population. Especially Muslim academics, because India considers their half of Kashmir as part of the larger Hindu India, and thus Kashmir becomes part of the larger Islamic Pakistan.

In regards your first question the answer is I dont know. I dont know if they aren't invited or if they are invited and dont come. I dont really move in those circles, at our masaajid the Ulama are more often than not Pakistani, Bengali or Indian. Now and then Saudi ulama and the Egyptian Qaree here or there.
AK - is Azaad. Ditch Pakistan. they aint done jack for ak.

You'd have to ask them if they are "deobandites" - I only know that they are orthodox hanafites.
I heard Habib Ali met with Hadrat Mawlana Yusuf Motala Sahib in blackburn or summat, but dont know the details.

Detailed article about Shaykh Habib Ali Jifry's Visit to Darul Uloom Bury
(a portion of the article mentioning Shaykh Yusuf Motala Sahib)
After visiting Darul Uloom, the Shaykh (along with the other guests) made his way to the nearby town of Blackburn, where he was scheduled to have lunch with the principal and patron of Darul Uloom, Shaykh Mawlana Muhammad Yusuf Mutala (may Allah preserve him). We all entered the house of Shaykh Yusuf who received the guests in an extremely warm manner. The food was already prepared and we all sat down to have lunch. Habib Ali requested Shaykh Yusuf to honour him with permission in transmitting the Hadith of Al-Musalsal bi al-Awwaliyya. This is a Hadith wherein there is continuity in the fact that each narrator had heard this Hadith first from his Shaykh before learning or hearing any other Hadith. Shaykh Yusuf out of humility and humbleness tried changing the subject and said: “Please start eating”. Sayyid Habib Ali said: “We will not start eating until you give us permission” hence Shaykh Yusuf recited the following Hadith:
The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Those who are merciful have mercy shown to them by the All-Merciful One (Ar-Rahîm). Show mercy to those who are on earth, then He Who is in heaven will show mercy unto you.” (Recorded by Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi). Shaykh Yusuf said that I give you permission with this continuing chain to transmit the Hadith, upon which Habib Ali said: “I accept”.
Zamzam water and dates were provided and Shaykh Yusuf was pouring Zamzam and giving each of the guests a glass with his own hands. Thereafter, we all began to eat. Habib Ali and Shaykh Yusuf were having an extremely light-hearted conversation. Shaykh Yusuf apologized for not doing much in terms of feeding the guests. He said when Sayyid Muhammad Alawi Maliki (Allah have mercy on him) would come to visit Shaykh Zakariyya Kandahlawi (Allah have mercy on him), the latter would go to extremes in terms of providing with all kinds of foods and drinks. Sidi Fuad Nahdi requested Shaykh Yusuf to give them some Nasiha concerning Da’wa work in this country. Shaykh Yusuf advised that one should avoid discussing topics that create disunity and outrage amongst Muslims. He also advised to have patience (sabr) in the path of Da’wa. The meal ended with the guests being offered traditional Arabic mint tea.
After food, we all went into the next room. Habib Ali spoke to Shaykh Yusuf about the connection Shaykh Abu Bakr Salim had with Shaykh Yusuf Kandahlawi (Allah have mercy on them both). They also discussed some other matters. Thereafter, Habib Ali requested Shaykh Ba Shu’ayb to sing a Nashid in praise of the beloved and pious servants of Allah. After recitation, Habib Ali requested Shaykh Yusuf to make a Dua and thus with that the session came to an end. Both Shaykh Yusuf and Habib Ali (may Allah preserve them both) exchanged gifts, embraced and parted. We left the house of Shaykh Yusuf and this amazing meeting of great lovers of the Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) came to an end.
Jazak`Allah :)
