For some reason, I'm not attracted to girls

Salaam Alikum.

For some reason, I find myself not attracted to girls. I'm straight and everything, but I don't find myself arroused by girls. It's summertime now, and all the girls at college are dressing in skimpy clothes, but when my gaze falls on them, I'm not arroused or anything. I guess that this is because when I was little, whenever something dirty came on the TV, I was told to look away. Now, I find myself not really attracted to girls. I like girls and plan to get married, but I don't find myself being attracted to girls the way everyone is.


Is this normal? Should I be worried about this?

consider yourself lucky, some brothers have a difficult time controlling this. perhaps you have strong self control. or perhaps you are really pious at heart and are turned off by women displaying their awrah as its disobedient to Allah?

i am sure there is some beautiful sister out there somewhere who is going to turn your head, and she will be the one you will marry, Inshaa Allah

maybe because you're around girls all the time? do you mix with girls a lot?

if you do, maybe you need to start limiting you contact with girls.

it's like if you keep eating chocolate... you will eventually get sick of chocolate. but if you limit the amount of chocolate you have... you will always desire some chocolate.

I think it's good, means you don't have a one track mind unlike most guys.. so congratulations.

Maybe you will feel attraction and desire when you are actually close to a woman emotionally and in terms of your relationship to her.. so when you get married inshaAllah it will be a natural thing because if you love your wife and have a romantic relationship you will feel a natural attraction.. and it'll be a meaningful good one.. not like how guys feel when they check out random birds.

It's a good thing right now, but what about when you get married? Don't marry someone if you're not attracted to them......or else you may make life difficult for her (especially if she wants kids).
