You know islamically we're not encouraged to expose our good deeds for fear of arrogance or having our reward dimished by publicising it in case we seek elevation in this dunyah rather than the akhirah.

I for one am always personally intrigued by the good deeds of others, but muslims being muslims dont always want to share their good deeds in fear that it may pollute their intentions with future actions.

So given that we have this section on ummah forums, i was hopeing we could encourage others to do good deeds by posting what yours are anaonymously. in the hope that it will encourage others without exposing who we are.

Hope mods will oblige inshallah :p

For Example...i was at an event once and their was fund raising going on and my sister pulled out her cheque book and handed it over. i later found out (she didnt tell me or anyone else) that she had donated 1000pounds mashallah. it encouraged me to do the same mashallah, all because of this my sisters actions.

Example 2...i know someone who prays tahujjud every morning and mashallah this person has a beautiful character...and now i aspire to do the same...if someone who works twice as hard as me...why cant i wake up a lil earlrier and pray?

What good deeds have you done? Please share, id like to be inspired and not waste my moments in the dunyah in vain.

:D

if you're still in school/college/part of an organisation, there is money waiting to be collected (for charity of course!)

find a noble cause, write up a proposal and hand it in to a senior, organise a fun day for everyone and the money will pour in.

another thing. remember the sahaba (as), then go through your stuff. you will be disgusted by how much excess we live in. so many things we don't need. sell your old stuff, and shop less, instead give the money to charity and remember you're a traveller. :D sounds simple but not many do it, it can change your life and the way you look at things (and the way you view people flashing their unnecessary new gadgets)

there is no harm in talking of some of ones good deeds in order to encourage others too

this is a misunderstood concept by some

for eg..if we take it to a silly level as some do unfortunatelt

shall we NOT tell people we have been for haj or pray salah for example

the way to phrase things is to say

"alhamdulillah..by the grace of allah..i was/am given ability to do such and such
