I'm getting all these advertisements from security softwares, do they just want to scare me in to purchasing their packages?:o

Ok, what should i do next? I have no clue about these things :smack:

They just wana scare you and some of them implant viruses into your system. Refrain from them and if you are really worried go to www.avast.com they have tools that can check your system.

I second that. Those are annoying ads whose programmers even have the nerve to minimize our open windows in order to force us to look at their pop-ups. And as Zesty said, many, if not all, actually download these back door trojans (something that gets into your PC and opens up your security in order to allow hackers to gain access, hence, identity thefts and Lord knows what).

Avast is perfect, since it's a free download. All they ask you for after installation is your e-mail address so they can send you a one-year license to key in to the program. After the year ends Insha'Allah, simply renew the license the same way. :up:

Ok, but one of the security softwares (can't remember which one now, because there were so many :smack:) said i had 30 infections :rubeyes:

Such infections may be harmless. They may just be cookies from ads and stuff.

But its better to get something like Norton and McAfee and get them to check it out...
