if u have the intention to marry fisabillilah and make ur choice fisabillilah, marry a pious lad then allah will be ur protector and the rest is in his hands

u know...not all love marriages are haram. the problem is how people go by doing it is haram. people these days go straight to the girl/guy and speak to them directly which makes it wrong cuz so many bad things can happen from the private conversations with no supervision. but say a guy/gurl likes someone and they haven't spoken to that person directly but saw or know about that person , they could easily go to the wali and have a talk...then it would be halal. but instead we have people these days resorting to boyfriend/girlfriend relationship (even if they don't call it that but that's what it is when you are calling the other person on the phone, texting, e-mailing, IMing, etc, waiting for them all day, talking to them all the time, etc).

hmmmm, because you are elder that's why. I am also the eldest daughter in my house and often come across such situations, but my parents know that I don't like shoutings, high pitched voice and blah blah so now they just don't do that. My dad is my best friend and the person whom I love the most in my life. It's just that u have to tell them things which u don't like.

If your parents get angry on u it doesn't mean that they don't like u or want to get rid of u. I hope u can understand what the world is turning in to so it's obvious for parents to worry for their daughters marriage.

i dont know what ur trying to say. but let me just clarify, that i wasn't trying to blame the sister for anything. but i do think most muslimahs these days rush into marriage with some odd ball they meet and in the end they hurt themselves. majority of guys can move on after getting a new wife. but for females its more difficult, so once they are scarred, its tough to forget. tehrefore, its extremely crucial that muslimahs really think about who they are planning to marry to avoid these pitfalls.

the best thing to do is re-marry and find someone who'd be a lot better. besides, in islam, once someoen divorces, they can't remarry that same person until she married and then divorced a 2nd time. what that does is, really make u feel what u lost..and appreciate them when u do get them back..
