Does anyone know how I can view the size of all my folders at once?

e.g. If I go to C: and choose 'view' and then 'details' , I can only see the date that the folders were created/modified but not how big they are?

thanks!

do u see the 'size' column? if you can, then i think you can only see the size if the folder contains 'files' and not 'folders' within folder... otherwise click right of mouse and click on properties, then you can see the size of the 'folder'...

Salam,

If your using Vista then please do the following.

>>My Computer

>> C Drive

>> Then carry on going until you get to the folders you want to find out about

>> When you get there hold down your left mouse button and drag it until you see the folders your hovering over being highlighted

>> After you have highlighted relevant folders let go of the mouse button

>> and then right click over a highlighted area

>> Click Properties

A new window should appear with all the stats of 1) How many folders you selected 2) Types of Folder or files 3) Size.

By clicking on the Details tab you can get details of date created/modified etc etc.

Hope this helped!

no I am using XP .. however I did a search on google.. had to download a small prog and then change some settings under 'view' ... did that and it worked! ..

Now I know why my C drive is short on space .. 16gigs of 'temp' files in the program files directory waiting to be deleted!! ..
