I Have Made Many Promises And Conditions But Broken Most Of Them.i Would Like To Do Sumthing So That My Lord Forgives Me.moreover I Made One Promise That I Will Not Contact My Students Thru Net Or Phone.if I Do So I Said Sumthing Should Happen.i Would Like To Contact Them Now Coz I Left The School.plz Help.i Would Like To Free Myself From The Restrictions Put By Myself Thru Promises And Conditions.wat Shud I Do?

Asalam wa rehamatullahi wa barakhatahu dear brother / sister in Islam. I think that you should try not to worry so much and keep calm. Dont let this give you too much stress. Remember that although ALLAH Ta'ala is the most strict, He (Almighty) is also the most forgiving, benificial, compassionate and merciful. Have a serious talk to ALLAH Ta'ala and express your grattitude for everything you have been given. Ask for His (Almighty) forgiveness, as He (Almighty) likes it when His (Almighty) followers do this. With regards to your promises, assess them whether they are reasonable or not and in what state of mind you said them. An example of a promise that cant be kept is someone saying 'i swear i will never speak to my brother again' (after an arguement). I dont think you can ignore each other for more than 3 days intentionally (get this checked up though Insha'ALLAH). If these are people that you dont want to meet then you have the right to not talk to them on the net / phone etc but if you see each other on the street, its always good to just keep it to a Salam / ALLAH Hafiz...

2:224 And do not make God the subject of your casual oaths. Be pious and righteous and reconcile among the people; and God is Listener, Knower.
2:225 God will not call you to account for your casual oaths, but He will call you to account for what has entered your hearts. God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

5:89 God will not hold you for your unintentional oaths, but He will hold you for what oaths you have made binding; its cancellation shall be the feeding of ten poor from the average of what you feed your family, or that you clothe them, or that you free a slave; whoever cannot find shall fast for three days; this is a cancellation for making your oaths when you swear. And be careful from making oaths. It is such that God clarifies for you His revelations that you may be thankful.

Don't make serious oaths you can't keep, be careful when you make an oath...

Thanks A Lot For The Verses.sir, I Made A Very Serious Promise And I Told Allah That You Should Not Accept Any Compensation From Me For That.now I Realize Wat I Have .wat Shud I Do?war R Unintentional Promises.i Don't Know How Many I Have Made So Wat Do U Think I Shud Do.fast Coz My Dad Doesn't Agree To Give Money Everytime.i Don't Know Wat Is The Problem But Suddenly With Whole Heart I Make Promises.pls Suggest Me.
