i don't understand this whole ironing business :rubeyes:

some people do the weeks washing and then iron all the washed clothes and hang them up in a cupboard and then they just get creased again and when they want to wear them they have to iron them again

so why do people do it? :confused:

I don't iron.

I only iron in certain circumstances:

* Really really creasy - hardly ever, but sometimes.

* Eid

* Wedding

Other than that. Nope, I don't iron. In our family everyone does their own ironing.

Just to clarify I don't walk around looking creasy. My clothes don't crease. Just my luck. :)

i know a girl (sikh) who would iron her..... hair! :eek:

yeah basically she had long weird hair and she told me to straighten it she would place a piece of paper over her hair and iron it

i was like :eek: whaaa? forreal? ... :sub: some people do strange things :0: why not invest in a straightener? she told me that the iron was better which does make sense but how bizarre?

if i ever tried that nutty experiment i would most likely forget the paper :p

I iron my clothes for special events, which I do not attend very often. Other than that, there are a couple of really good sprays which do an excellent job of removing all but the toughest wrinkles from my clothes.

I knew people who iron their hair aswell, instead of using straighteners. I wouldnt dare to do that... might accidently burn face n also doesnt seem good for health of ur hair :S but I have to admit, the girls who did that it did come out looking okay! lol

As for bulk ironing, yeah I do.. although I iron the stuff each morning aswell. Lately not doing so much bulk, I stopped using tumble dryer and things crease soo much less so doesnt really need it. But if people use a dryer, you will have to bulk iron because if you leave it until you need the things, then the creases will be difficult to take out by that time

...say u do two hours of the family ironing per week... thats 104 hours a year .. and say u start ironing at age 15 and live to be say on average 75 years old...thats 6240 hours in a lifetime...which is 260 days of your life ironing... which is equal to approx. a whole 9 months of your life spent ironing day and night non stop ...:nono: so just say no to ironing and buy clothes that dont crease in the wash .. if any are a little creased after being hung out to dry stick them in the tumble dryer with a damp cotton t-shirt for 5 minutes and it comes out crease freeeee :coolsis:

I prefer to do bulk ironin. And I only iron my own clothes. And I take too many out too. I curse myself when Im doing my laundry - and then when I wanna change me clothes Ill do it with no hassle.

And I have delicates to wash. Half of em needs air drying. And so my whole day goes into laundry and ironing mode. It is such an achievement. Then I give it a quick iron the day im gonna wear it again.

Well, a few years ago everything i wore related to football. Football, Football, Football! That Utd shirt i burnt was one of my favourite tops (it was my first ever football shirt - that made it extra special) so i used to wear it every weekend. Spoken just like a person who doesn't iron :nono:

I've got clothes that hasn't been worn for months and yet it's not creased, even the clothes that gets folded don't have 'noticeable' creases.

My clothes gets ironed one only, there's no need for it to be ironed a second time.

Well, when you put your clothes in the washing machine. The result is that your clothes come out clean, not to forget creased. ;)
