It was brownish in colour and was carefully camouflaged : I am afraid it is a UK phenomena also.

On certain sandwiches pickles area good addition. Dill ones only, I can't stand the sweet pickles.

Usually, I use Hot banana peppers on sandwiches for my veggie. :D

Achaar? I'm sorry I have no idea. My pickle looked liked brown chopped onions : I did not know it was a pickle until I checked the ingredients.

I can understand that... At my local halal market they prepare sandwiches, and they put pickles on the shawarmas, and the shish-ka-bobs. I usually forget to ask them not to put them on and pull them off.
