View Full Version : Namaaz
:aku_salam:
normally when reading I follow my mum, she says intention and tells me the stages in wudu and everything as I'm in learning stage (only started reading recently), but she has ladies problems at the moment and I'm at a loss basically... I'm guessing intention can be made in any language as she does in Urdu, but I've yet to learn all the namaz and the stages in each one... how to begin, how to place my feet etc... can anyone send me a link or something aimed at women preferably so I can learn properly?

Wa Alaikum Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
The link below should explain everything you need to know. If you have any questions, please post them or PM me.
There are minor differences in the prayer of a man and a woman, so if you pray as you see a man praying, your prayer will be accepted, insha'Allah ta'ala. One of the differences is when in sujud, you do not have to push your elbows away from the body, you can keep them close to your body so as to appear more "organized" and humble.

Wa Alaikum Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
Wa iyyakum.
Intention can be in whatever language you understand. It also should NOT be out loud but it should be in your heart between you and Allah.
You can say to yourself, "I intend to perform 4 fard rakaat of salatul Thuhr for the sake of Allah."
