Salaam,
Do any of you do all three of the recommended Sunnah's, as the Prophet :saw: told us to learn the sports listed?

I am active in archery (except in winter) and swimming, and I also do shooting sports with firearms.

I have a fear of water. And no, not hydrophobia. Can't enter a pool or go deeper than chest level at the beach. As for horse riding, I'll get into it insha'Allah.

Salaam Akhi's and Ukthi's

I can swim, but I wouldn't say I was Competent, as I can probably swim a Hundred Metres or so continuously, not a few hundred, or a Kilometer ...

archery ... i'm not too good at that ...

Swimming: yes, although I have not been swimming in many years.

Archery: no. I know how to shoot rifles and such but not bow & arrow.

Horse Riding: no, never had an inclination to.

I swim alot, living in FL right near the beach.

I wish I could do more horseriding, I absolutly love horses.

As for archery, I go every once in a while. Its really fun; we even bought a bow and some arrows.

All three mentioned are encouraged by the Prophet :saw:

There is a Hadith that mentions to it's nearest meaning, that a time will come when swords, bows and arrow will be used, horses too. :)

Horse Riding!

And swimming - just enough to stay alive...

Never archery (never ever in my life have I figured out why this may be a remotely useful or fun thing to do :D)

I can swim and used to ride horses regularly before reverting to Islam and starting a family. I will start riding again, insha'Allah, especially as it is recommended.

Did the prophet's wives/ do these sports too?

Because I'm thinking, how can a woman in hiijaab ride horses? :o I dunno I cant imagine it being done in a feminine way and without looking abit..err...-un-womanly. Ofcourse if you happen to own a ranch or acres of forest/field i guess you wouldnt have to be in hijaab but how many of us own one of those ?

Swimming yeah alot of places have womens only swimming etc, but did they even have that in prophet's time?

archery- this is something you could do in hijaab I think, without compromising any un-womanly movements etc.
