At the end of this assignment, there are 4 tables.

(1) In Access, create the 4 tables, enter the relationships and populate the tables with the data shown at the end of this assignment.

Deliverable
A screen print of the relationships among the tables.

(2) Develop a query to get S# values for suppliers who supply a London or Paris project with a red part.

Deliverables
A screen print of the Design Query screen
(Pressing the Print Screen key puts a copy of the screen on the Clipboard. You can then paste from the Clipboard into your Word answer document)
A copy of the Access generated SQL code
(You can select the code and copy it to the Clipboard. You can then paste from the Clipboard into your Word answer document)
A screen print of the query results

(3) Develop a query to get J# values for projects not supplied with any red part by any London supplier.

Deliverables

okay so from the prof's instructions i got this done:

Start Access
To create a new database, from the opening screen, select the Blank (Access) Database option
From the dialog box, name the database and specify where it is to be stored
From the Database window, click on the Tables button, then double click on Create table in Design view

i have nooo idea wat hes talking about wen he says this:

Enter the field names, their data types and their descriptions. In the Field Properties section of the window, adjust the default field sizes to reasonable values
Click in the row that contains the primary key field and click on the primary key icon on the toolbar
Save the table and give it a name

Now see SNAME is a field name
Data type for SNAME will be string/character or something similar
Description can be 'Name of the supplier'
By primary key, it means something Unique to a particular record, U can see two supplier can have same name or belong to same City. For differentiating them, they need something Unique. So S# is the primary key. Got it?

It sounds like maybe you made S# the primary key for that table?

You don't need a primary key for that particular table.

No, it sounds like you did well. I've seen a lot of people struggle a bit with the primary and foreign key concepts early on.

See all that work in VB has made this kind of stuff relatively easy for you. :)

It's like you ran a 5k race and now they're just asking you do to a 1k walk.
