:bangbang::bangbang:::Child gangs

Child gangs are the result of the breakdown of the family structure in Somalia or the world.conflict society, the traditional family structure in Somalia has suffered as a result of war and the exodus to the refugee camps.
Parents try to keep their children out of gun-school
"These children have known more violence than anything else in their lives - their fathers have been killed, they have joined the militia, they have quit school, they deal in qat [Catha edulis], they are the children of mothers who are forced to be the family breadwinner
Often working women have to discontinue their daughters' education so that the girls can take on household responsibilities. Poverty, parental absence, and exposure to violence and trauma have been critical causes in the formation of the gangs - which often include children as young as 10, as well as young teenagers. "These gangs are very feared, and have declared some parts of the town they extort money, and rape girls .there is urgent need for the children to be rehabilitated, educated and given opportunities to earn a living

But at present, there are no rehabilitation opportunities for such children - no social workers, juvenile courts or institutional care. that delinquent or violent children were taken to the adult prisons, where they were likely to be abused. "They are the victims of sexual, mental and physical abuse. they literally pull the older men off the children at night when they hear them screaming.

thats really sad...
reminds me of the movie 'blood diamond' - in that area when the oppressors gather up all the children - mainly boys - and turn them forcefully into ruthless ppl, yet they're only children... they even turn them against their parents and provide them with weaponry and train them military-wise etc.

:inlove:Children were fund living and working on the street as young as three years old. However, the very young were usually with older siblings. I was estimated that the ages of children on the street averaged: 4% under 7 years; 14% from 8-11 years; 41% from 12-14 years and 41% from 15-18 years in Somalia, children interviewed individually.
1-Boy 5: My mother left us here and our father followed her. Now I am alone here with my sisters and brothers. i miss my parents. My sister is the one who helps me when I am sick. I use the toilet near the house where she works and sometimes she makes me a bath. She gives me breakfast in the morning then I come to town to beg for money. Some big children often take my money. I get happy when I beg more money ...and sometimes I cry when I am hungry...
so that is the life of young children with no care and no one is looking back , so my Allah say what u love yourself love with your brother .. We live good life and they live badly. And we don't care them that are very sad. and every one who has heart to feel can feel it how much life want to enjoy their time ..
