I'm curious as to what muslims in general watch on tv whether it be news, shows and tv for leisure or watching Zakir Naik dvds. I don't watch too much tv these days but I do watch LOST, Prison Break and House.
As for the news I read the paper...I find it is less biased than broadcasted news.
But some people watch TV more than they sleep! I think its very detrimental to the mind and its a form of procrastination which should be avoided. Could someone also post a hadith on procrastination if possible?

Shouldn't the first option be <5 ?
Or I am having some misunderstandings.
i tivo a lot of tv. The shows I watch are:
Curb your enthusiasm, Flight of Conchords, Planet Earth, Aliens in America, Man vs. Wild, Suvivorman, Intervention and the Walking with Dinosaurs series.

I assume it's less than five as well!
Prefer my DVDs. But like paramount comedy for scrubs etc

tell me about it...i never thought TV would be such a task. In our house my family hates holding the remote because we all know that eventually the embarassing task of forwarding or reflexively changing the channel will come.

8-12 hours a week for me. I watch it throughout the day. A bit in the morning, afternoon and night.
Thats relatively a small amount by my standards to be honest.

Maybe an hour or so a day, mostly history channel. A lot of the other stuff on there is propaganda and garbage.

You say true and the cartoons have gone downhill too. The 90's were good for cartoons.

Cartoons were ace in the 90s! Does anybody remember Gummi bears, Superted or Ducktales? Cheese but great :D

I prefer it when my dad puts the telly away but my bro always seems to persuade him to take it out for a football match or something or the other, which automatically allows us an excuse to watch this program or the other...
however, i usually watch the stuff of my own choice on the net.. its much more easier and you can see it at your own time...

I watch too much TV, but a lot of it isn't my choice. My son has on the children's channels when he gets home from school.

about the Only Channel I watch is Peace TV everything else on TV is garbage, except maybe the news ...
too much TV is a blatant waste of time, and most people watch Haraam or worthless programmes wasting their time, when they could have used it for their Benefit ...

Peace tv is so good. Im hooked on that too.
I watch probably half peace tv and half other stuff. There are some decent English/American/Asian shows out there, but even then the ads in between are just :nono:
Honestly, the last time I sat infront of a TV was 5 months ago, when I visited my family. And even then my time before a TV was limited as I had places to be or books to read. Reading, IMHO, is the best way to pass time...
